Hi girls,
This is all very new to me so I’d love to hear from you 🙂
I’ve always been unhappy with my boobs, and when I fell pregnant a few months ago I started worrying and researching how pregnancy could change them for the worse. During my research I discovered I have a form of tuberous breast. Sadly I lost my baby, but what I have discovered has changed my attitude towards surgery. I always felt I had to just accept myself and, being a Christian, there is a stigma attached to cosmetic procedure that put me off of researching further. The thought that there is a developmental issue has caused me a great deal of sadness, but has also given me hope that there is something I can do about this. My husband loves me as I am, but understands and is very supportive. We don’t have the money right now, but he has said he will support me to do this in the future.
Ok, so that’s my story so far. I am terrified of surgery and have heard some scary horror stories, but my noobs have always affected my confidence and I love the thought of being able to be at peace with my body and make this change. I’d love to know your experience. Have any if you corrected tuberous breasts with surgery, and how did it go? What was the procedure and how much did it cost? I’m also wondering if we should have a baby before or after BA? Did anything go wrong? Any success stories years later?
Thank you so so much, it is nerve wracking writing this so please be kind, I’d love to hear from you xx
Hi I’m sorry you lost your baby that must be awful!!! I didn’t have tubular breasts so I can’t say anything about that but I think if ur planning on having another baby you should wait to have a BA. I don’t have any children of my own but don’t plan on having the. Any time soon that’s why I choose to have it done now but I think if I was planning on having a baby I would wait. I had my surgery 1 week ago so still strapped up so can’t see anything yet but although I haven’t felt too great this last week I am pleased with the size of them.
Hi, im really sorry to hear about losing your baby xx
I had my ba on Thursday and I’ve wanted one for as long as I can remember, I’ve always had confidence issues especially when it came to my breasts so finally decided to book a consultation, i was an A and wanted to stay quite natural so im hoping ill be a full C/ small D (i have some pictures if you would like to add me) there are quite a few risks that come with having breast augmentation, you might want to give this post a read http://www.mya.co.uk/mya-space/mya-forums/topic/pre-op-girls-fact-not-fairytale-please-read-and-bump/ as these are some of the issues that the girls on here have had and there’s more information online http://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/ProductsandMedicalProcedures/ImplantsandProsthetics/Breastimplants/ucm064106.htm also make sure to do a lot of research before you definitely decide to go ahead with it, there is a lot of information out there.
I don’t think we can discuss individual costs on this forum but mine was less than I expected, you can also pay on finance.
I’m sorry I’m not sure about pregnancy as I’m not planning that anytime in the near future, you might not know if you can breasteed until you try, but it’s unlikely you won’t be able to… http://www.babycenter.com/0_breastfeeding-after-breast-augmentation-implants_8680.bc
Before you book make sure you know about any guarantee that comes with your implants and make sure you know what implant type you’re having, book as many consultations as you need to make sure it’s exactly what you want and if you’re not 100% sure about your surgeon request a consultation with another
Even though I only had my op on Thursday I’ve had an amazing experience up to now and so pleased that I decided to go through with it! Anymore questions feel free to ask xxxxx
Hello! So sorry about losing your child, but if you are planning having a baby definitely have your BA after. They don’t recommend you have one soon after as it can affect the shape and size of them, and considering you just spent all that money, it’s best to protect your investments 🙂 I had a tubular breast corrected on Saturday with Mr Mounir. He’s done a great job and I’m tubular free! In fact that breast has settled and healed better than my normal one, go figure. So a BA can definitely help with that if that’s your goal. I went a pretty conservative size – I think once the swelling goes down I’ll be a C cup. If you want to add me I have befores and afters (though as they’re so freshly operated on, my afters aren’t the end result and do look quite funny for the time being!) I can send you a pic of how tubular I was before too so you can see if it’s similar to you if you like too.
Sorry my message is quite short, I’d love to type a longer one but I’m 2 days post op so quite tired still! If you want to chat more feel free to message me and I’ll get back when I have more energy 🙂 xx
Thank you so much ladies for all of your lovely advice and support 🙂
I think you are right about waiting, I’m going to have a serious chat with my hubby later and hopefully we can work out a way to save for this in the meantime 🙂
Thank you for the links Katie, I have read a few of those threads as health is very important to me and I want to look after my body. I also spoke to a lady at MYA on the phone who assured me the new implants are safe, don’t leak, and can last a lifetime. Have you found them to be good? I do worry about the healing process and scarring, but as long as the implants won’t make my body toxic I’m ok with a scar, it will be a small price to pay to love my body. I don’t want big implants either, just more roundness and a better shape 😉
How have you all been healing?
Are there any other ladies who have had tuberous breasts corrected via surgery? I’d love to see some before and after pics, if you’re happy to share, and hear how things went for you 🙂 it’s a huge decision and I’m hoping to do as much research as possible beforehand
