    Ladies, my friend has looked at my incisions and said they look a bit sore ( I cant see them myself) and has suggested dabbing with warm salt water.

    Has anyone else done this or any other suggestion would be great. I was four weeks post op yesterday.

    I wouldny dab them. If they are not sore to you just leave them.

    leave them babe till u av seen a nurse just incase the salt water irritates you or makes the prob worse x

    Hi. I agree don’t get your wounds wet yet as it can delay healing and you may introduce bacteria into the wounds causing infection. One of my incisions had been causing me more discomfort than the other side and when the nurse checked it was slightly red and raised. She redressed it and I’m going back next week for check up. Xx

    My bf had a massive op under his arm pits took out some glands…and he was told to bathe them in salt water. Clinical guidelines for not getting wounds wet is actually only 24 hrs…but always do as Mya advise if not make aftercare invalid.
