Ok so its day 2 and i’ve already got a couple blisters. Pissed!!! I looked under the strapping slightly at the adge and saw a blister wwhich is getting bigger and as i pulled, another one must have burst coz water came out near my drainage site. Called the nurse and she said its to be expected and basically just wait until i have the strapping off on Tuesday. Read some previous posts and was thinking to use sudocrem and a plaster or maybe just non adhesive dressing as a barrier between the blister and the strapping. Its really itchy especially at night and i was reading that if i remove the strapping myself, it might nullify my aftercare so i guess imma have to keep it on. Any ideas or suggestions? I just hope the blisters dont scar because im not a sunbed girl to make the scars fade away. Ho hum…….:( ???

Awwh sounds painful! My strapping left me with loads of sores around my armpits and on my back, and a few blood blisters. They seem to have dried up now. Don’t worry too much, I’d probably try the non adhesive dressing to stop it rubbing. I used bepanthen on mine and that helped loads. Rubbish that they won’t do anything, I had to persevere too! Xx

Hi Casey. I had blistering from the strapping too and mine burst too !!! Yuk. Well one of them did!! The nurse told me to come up to get it checked just to be on the safe side and as she pulled the strapping bk(I was day3) I had another huge one which burst .. The nurse decided to leave the strapping off as I had the m and s sports bra which she felt was good support, and there was more chance of them getting infected.. I would call them to see what they say, also be careful putting cream etc just incase you do more harm than good.. I’m on day 10 now, and all ok so far. Blisters are all dried up and melting away..hope this helps. X

Thanks ladies. I didnt bother with the sudocrem. Just put a non adhesive dressing between the blister and the strapping. Im going to pretend that i cant even notice the other blister which i can feel under the strapping. Now im dealing with burning nipples of fire. OMG!! That is SERIOUS. Its not even like a normal pain. More like someone is poking a hot needle straight through the nip or like an electrical current going off behind it. Had to run and pop my first co-codamol. I stay away from painkillers usually so that when i do need one, i know it will work and thank gosh it has. Only took one to ease up but i reckon those co-codamol gonna be my best friend for these nips of fire. YIKES

I had a slight burning feeling with the strapping but lucky it was towards the last few days when strapping was about to come off. I think the more it rubbed against my skin the more I was getting this burning type feeling but I used to put ice packs most of the time to soothe it. Luckily mimes came off a day after and my boobs could finally breathe lol but that burning feeling is awful. I used to keep the fan on too facing towards my boobs loll to help keep them cool as odd as it sounds lol. Hopefully it’s not much longer that yours come off and you’ll be fine. Ice packs may help in the meantime.
