Every time I take my meds, about an hour or so later I begin feeling extremely queasy and sicky to the point that I’m shaky and my heads spinning. Had anyone else encountered anything like this?
Slightly worried I’m having a bad reaction to the pills 🙁 xxx
Yea i had this. I had to stop takin the codine and just have the paracetamol x
Co-codamol and the antibiotics – Augmentin I think they’re called. I’ve tried staggering when I take each to try and work out which are making me poorly but that hadn’t worked 🙁 It’s honestly the worst part of the op & recovery so far! xxx
I’m the same!! Do we need them? I feel better not taking them!!
I think we definitely need the antibiotics cos they stop infection but if you don’t need the pain killers might as well not take them! I feel so grim after them and I’m so scared Imogen throwing up in case it hurts my chest 🙁 xx
Think it’s the co-codamol hun. Causes a lot of people nasuea and vomiting – I used to come across it when I worked in a hospital (as a physio). Try it after having a meal. If that doesn’t work, I’d think about stopping taking it and maybe take ibuprofen instead if you’re not allergic or anything. xx
I had co codamol. Could only take one at a time or I felt drunk. Only took it at night. Took ibrufen with paracetamol during the day. Try just 1 tablet or half. They did make me dizzy, shakey and light headed. Weird feeling.
Thanks Sapna, I’ll give that a go. They make me sleepy but I don’t mind that so much, I keep napping at dinner time to pass the time! Haha. Just can’t deal with the fear of being sick xx
Strange isn’t it Julie, I was fine all the first day, it’s really jut been today that it’s hit me hard. Might just take one like you say, I didn’t even think if that! Duhh! xx
If I took 2 I didn’t think I could walk or if I did I felt like I was on a boat or the floor was moving, funny.
Yer it’s the codiene in the co-codamol try reduce it it stop it all together x
I’m having the same problem even the paracetamol is making me feel sick too 🙁 xx
Just thrown up and I feel loads better, you’ll all be glad to know it didn’t hurt my chest at all… always a silver lining ha! xx
I was the same after 2 cocodamol Hun just take 1 with food and see how you go cx
Yeah I’m giving that a try, just eaten dinner and had one and so far I feel fine… fingers crossed!! Thanks for all the advice ladies! xx
Hey Hun hope you’re feeling better. I had the same experience with the Codomol so I stopped taking it after day 2/3 because I wasn’t even in much pain and took a paracetamol or ibruprofen if I ever needed to. If you keep feeling like that then try switching then switch to something like that Hun.
