Hi girls. As you know I’ve been offered 410 and 460 by Mr Adamo and he wants me to have the 460 as thinks this will give me a better and fuller result. I was swaying more towards the smaller size because like many of you I don’t want to end up massive.

My main concern is that I’m currently a 32c/d (although bear in mind that I’ve had kids so not the d cup I once was) and I’m worried that a 460 would take me to ridiculous proportions because of my pre-op size.
Have any of you girls started off with slightly bigger boobs and how many cup sizes did your implant increase your bra size by?

I think if I was an a cup now I’d just take the biggest implant offered to me but because I already have boobs I think I may look silly especially as I’m only 5ft tall, 7st 10lb size 8.

    Hope someone can help

    Hi Rio
if ur worried ring and talk to them But i have heard a lot about the size thing and loads of ladies choose the bigger option and are glad they did cus, after the op they get “boob Greed” and often the ones who chose the smaller wish they got the bigger ones! but not everyone!!!
Sorry not much help but i’m sure some one will post a more helpful reply soon but i really would ring them or ask for another meeting to discuss, its your body and ur paying a lot of money u should be clear with what u are getting and understand

I’ve also had kids and need Filling up! lol maybe its what u will need to give them that post babies boost!!! x

Thanks Carly, actually someone told me this week that starting off with more breast tissue doesn’t always guarantee you a huge end result. I think it makes a difference but not as much as I thought. For alot of girls who have nothing there, they put an implant in their bra and get an idea immediately of what it may look and feel like but for me it was just placing a boob on a boob lol, it looked sooo silly I had to laugh.

But you’re right though and I’m meeting with my pc tomorrow for some reassurance.

    Thanks again xxx

    Hi Rio,

I’m similar stats to you. Currently a 32C (or sometimes a small D), 5’4″, size 8/10. I was also offered 460 or 410. Initially thought both looked huge and tried 380 as well. Went back to the mirror 5 min later and thought both 410 and 380 looked a good size once I was over the initial shock!

Decided to go with the 410, as my surgeon said you lose some of the volume (? 10-15%- can’t remember now!) once they’re in. Having ba in December. I want to end up a DD/E cup and hope I won’t be massively bigger than this. It’s so difficult isn’t it? Have you tried the rice test?

Hi Katey, lovely to hear from someone with similar stats! Yes, I have one 410 rice boob and one 460 haha, I’ve tried them on in all different tops and the 410 is by far more what I’m hoping for. I think if it’s purely my decision I would go with the 410 but Mr Adamo says 460 will be much better. Think I may play it safe though.

He said whichever size I decide on should take me to an e cup so should be the same for you hun xx

    Hi Rio,

It’s reassuring that he said either should take you to an E cup. I had heard of a few people having 410’s and ending up an F or FF which scared me a bit! I did the rice test too with 410, not sure whether I did it properly tho. I used the biggest bra I could find in my wardrobe which was a 32dd la senza from before I shrunk! (I think you’re supposed to buy a sports bra in the size you want to be post-op?) The rice was a bit flattened down and they definately didn’t look as big as when I tried the implants at my consultation!

When are you booked in for? xx

When I did the rice test I use a bigger sports bra, I’ve got one in 32dd and 32e and like you said the rice gets squashed so you don’t know how accurate it is. If it helps I used to speak to a girl on sofem who had the same pre-op size as us, similar height and build and size had 410 overs and her boobs now although a 32f were the perfect size, they didn’t look massive or out of proportion. They say implants measure big but don’t look it so maybe we’re worrying about nothing haha.

I’m booked in 21st October, how about you? xx

    Hi Rio,

I’d heard that too about implants measuring bigger than they look. Hopefully we are worrying over nothing!

I’m booked in for 18th December at Highgate so got a while to wait- seems like ages away! Hoping I’m suitably recovered in time for Christmas, as I’m going to see my family and they don’t know I’m having it done! I’ve only told my Fiance (who has been great and came with me to consultation) and 3 close friends. xx

Oh me too hun, my family don’t know and I don’t plan on telling them and I don’t want work knowing either. Have only told hubby and 2 other friends.

I went to see my pc today and she had both the implants with her (she even made me take pictures of them side by side so I could deliberate at home lol)
Anyway she said the difference in size once the implants are in would be minimal and she thinks the reason Mr Adamo preferred the 460 is because it has slightly more width which should fill me better. Actually looking at the height of them there’s not much in it.
I also asked her if she thought I’d end up being a g cup or something and she laughed and said ‘oh god no’ and didn’t think it would be bigger than e.

Think I’ve come away even more undecided!!

    Hello,

Rio- good news that pc was reassuring and definately didn’t think you’d end up a g. That is my worry too. When I tried implants in bra, I had 410 in one and 460 in the other and didn’t notice much difference between the two until Mr Singh told me they were different sizes! (He said he’d be weighed down if he carried two of each size in his bag, lol!) So I would think you should be fine whichever one you go for. Good luck deciding- it’s really hard, isn’t it?!

Juicylips- Yay, I have a date twin! :-) I’m nervous already (never had an op before) but really excited. Hope we’re both recovered in time for Christmas.

    xx
