My gp has said he ‘doesn’t need to provide a medical overview history’ for me as apparently I’m young fit and healthy for surgery but surely he has to give it me?! I asked him twice and he was really passive and unhelpful. My BA is in a week!! Also I have my medical with the nurse tomorrow did anyone else have to have blood tests?

Hey when I had my pre op I didnt have to have any blood test cuz she said I was fit n healthy and that she would send a letter to the docs but wouldn’t need a reply from it because im fit n healthy so think you will be fine 🙂 xx
Aaaah thanks 🙂 I feel a bit more relaxed now. I just don’t wanna go to my pre op empty handed because of my unhelpful gp !! Hopefully no blood test for me either

I never had blood test at my pre op. The nurse done the mrsa swabs in nose and armpit. Blood pressure and asked my weight. Oh and took a before pic. Yeah I worried when I hadn’t heard anything but when I spoke to Amelia at Newcastle she said not to worry as it’s there job to chased it up not mine. Xxx
They only do blood tests if your surgeon has requested any and that will fall down to weather you have any underlined problems that require him to do them, don’t worry bout your doctors they have a duty to tell Mya if your fit for surgery or not ad they will give them your history upon request from Mya just ignore what he was saying I you xxx
