    I’ve been told not to take my pill 2 weeks before my op and 2 weeks after, has anyone carried on taking there pill up to there op and taken it before 2 weeks after? My ops 2 weeks tomorrow and I’m going to a festival on Saturday and really don’t want to be on for then but it’ll mean I only stopped taking my pill 1 week before my op?! xx

    I was told to stop taking mine. They said that if you don’t it can cause blood clotts. It’s the same for any sort of operation. I would follow the nurses advice or you could be putting yourself at risk.

    Same, I’m doing everything by the book to avoid the risks. The instructions are there for a reason,.

    What about the mini pill?
    I’ve read forums on here that it doesn’t apply to the mini pill?? Xx

    I’m on microgynon and I’ve stopped a week before, will probably start taking a week after so after the antibiotic x

    im going to ask my nurse if I can stop it a week before, some people stopped taking it and some carried on, think it depends on if your healthy etc. x
