Urgent post op advice needed please!! Started by: Kalli

Personally I think he should just drive into Central to get you, you might not be in agony but you will probably feel a bit spaced out! Everyone’s pain & recovery levels are different I haven’t had any pain however I did have some sickness due to anesthetic the morning following my op I took my little boy to pre school & took a 5 minute walk home I was exhausted, I also looked it! I don’t know how familiar you are with the tube but I used to live in London so I would also take these things into consideration the tube can be a busy place & people in London are generally in a rush so you don’t want to get knocked into! Also it’s very hot under there not much oxygen, you might not get a seat & will have to stand not the best after you’ve had surgery & may feel light headed as it is! The hospital also may not let you leave if you don’t have a chaperone! I really think you guys should re consider or at least get a cab to meet him somewhere you will also have your over night bag to carry & you don’t really want to be carrying that Hun. It was bad enough being pregnant living in London with a tiny bump coz you couldn’t really tell I was pregnant people didn’t really have consideration for me to have a seat. Hope this helps make your decision xx

Yeaaa I completely agree with the above, not a good idea gettin the tube! I just about felt comfortable in a car on the home xxx

My boyfriend drove to Central (for the first time) parked around the corner and came to collect me.
I am so relieved he did this, there is no way I would have been able to carry my things and I felt exhausted.
Do not get the tube.. He should come meet you.
If he isn’t willing to do this I suggest asking someone else to come with you!

Most of the time the hospital staff won’t let you leave alone, someone needs to collect you for safety reasons, you’ll still be weak and groggy from the GA as well as any pain you might have. x
