Has anyone had a bladder infection and still been able to go ahead with their surgery? I’ve woken up this morning with a slight bladder infection and have already seen the doctor to get a 3 day prescription of antibiotics. But I’m guessing that they will probably not want to go ahead with the surgery with any kind of infection in my body. I haven’t been able to stop crying all morning xx

I can relate here Sarah! Was about to post similar myself. I’ve got a cold and a cough! Been reading up all morning and panicking they won’t do my op on tuesday 🙁 I haven’t got a temp or anything and I’m not even sure if it’s an infection but apparently a cough is a no go with GA, have u rang your pc? X

Aw hun no way I just finished antibiotics for tonsillitis. All clear now but maybe you should just call your pc ask her what you will have to do. Xx

I’ve been trying to call all morning but her phone is off! I’ve sent her a text too explaining the situation. So so upset.. as you girls can imagine I’ve been counting down the days. Rosie I can’t belive there’s a possibility that they won’t do your Op because of a cough 🙁 Hopefully with some rest you will be feeling better and they will give you the all clear. Claire did your pc say anything to you about having to be off the antibiotics before your op? Xx

I haven’t spoke to anyone about it hun.. I see them tuesday so I will be asking them then but im off them now so I persume that is ok as its 10 days till my op. Im pretty sure you would have to be off them but you never know hun. They might just change it to a couple days after? You dont want to be poorly and higher risk of infection hun for the sake of a few days. I know how ill I felt last week I wouldn’t of had it dont then if theu paid me. Aw hun I hope everything is ok for you. It is horrible when you’ve waited so long. Xxx

Yeah I know, it’s better to be safe than sorry. And I’m just facing the fact that it’s probably not happening on tue. I just need my pc to turn her phone on so we can figure this all out. Lots amd lots of chocolate and trashy tv is needed today I think haha x

I went to a out of hours doctor and got them this morning. And they prescription is only for 3 days, so it would finish on the day of my Op. Is the nurses line on the little red card? Xx

I spoke to the nurse and she didn’t seem to think it would be a problem but I won’t find out for sure until tomorrow once my pc has talked to Mr Traynor. I’m still trying not to get my hopes up. Thanks for your help xx
