Hi girls! I am now 3 weeks PO and since my strapping came off there have been some stitches poking out and i thought theyd come out but stayed the same and where the stitches pokes out it is not healing. Anyone had the same? Is it normal? I tried ringing the nurse to see if they could maybe see me but i realised the myamod post on here saying the phones are down 🙁

Hi Kim I’m 5 weeks post op and mine are still just sticking out, just at the ends of the scar…. not sure if they are still meant to or not either. If you get hold of the nurse, let me know what she says! 🙂

Hiya, I had an uplift so I had loads of stitches lol. It’s completley normal for them to be poking out, nurse said it can take up to three months for them to dissolve 🙂 so don’t panic! xx

ahh thanks Megan, that’s a relief, bit ugly though, are we allowed to snip them a bit?

Hi I’m 9 weeks PO and I’ve still got a couple of stitches left. I had loads as had an uplift, but at about 5/6 weeks they were driving me mad catching on my bra so I pulled some out with tweezers that came out easily. They left little holes that healed over after a couple of days. Those that wouldn’t pull out I’ve snipped right down xx

Thanks for the help girls 🙂 i just want them out as it seems they are not letting the scar heal in some places :/ i didnt get through the nurse today Amy i gave up and thought id try tomorrow hopefully their lines will be back working normal as i dont think i can pull them out myself or trim them im a bit scared to touch anything down there :/ lol
