I know Mr Adamo says there’s no need for a sports bra but also said if I feel more supported then feel free to use one. Can I ask how many of you post op girls that had Mr Adamo, did you or didn’t you? Do you feel better for wearing one/not wearing one and do you wear one only at certain times, like night time etc.

    Thanks, Rio xxx

    Hi Rio

Mr Adamo did my op on 19th August, i had 380 hp overs and went from a small 36B to 36DD :)
I put on the sports bra to drive home the following morning after my op, and then took it off when i got home. At bedtime i then put it on again. I tend to go bra less for a couple of hours in the morning, then put the sports bra on, then around 5pm take it off again, and put it back on for bedtime. From 4 weeks post op, at night time i’ve been wearing a ‘secret support vest’ to bed, which is softer than the bra, but still supportive. You just need to see how you feel. When you have not been use to having boobs, they tend to feel a bit heavy after a while, but such a great feeling tho’ :)

    Hope this has helped xx

    Hey Rio,

I wore my sports bra on the day of the op, but it started to hurt my stitches, so I took it off in the night time to sleep, put it on again the next day, but during the 3 hour car journey which my bf drove us back home, the bra was really digging into my stitches even though the bra was actually bigger than I needed, so my bf helped me take it off in the car (I did have a really baggy t-shirt on mind haha) Ever since then (1 week and 4 days) I haven’t worn a sports bra, because it feels so much more comfy without!!! If you’re thinking what about the nipples? Well I bought some nipple covers so they don’t stick out in tops!! haha! Especially as its sometimes cold!

But I guess it is totally up to you, as you need to be as comfortable as possible!! Listen to your boobs!

Thanks Jacqui and Wendy, sounds like it’s all about how you feel at the time. Just that I’ve already bought few and wondered whether to hang on to them or not, think I will just in case.

And yes Wendy, I did wonder about the nipples lol, especially in work! I sent you a facebook friend request but not sure if I got the right person, didn’t want to put my full name on here cos haven’t told anyone I’m getting it done.

Hope you are both recovering well, you’re both a great help for us pre-op girls.

To be honest I wish I hadn’t bought all those sports bras, basically I bought 2x 36DD, 2x 36D, and 2x 34D, which in total cost me

Aww thanks for that Wendy, I’d love to see your pics, I’m on backstreetstar@hotmail.com

That sounds like me, in all my excitement I’ve built up quite a collection of sports bras in a selection of sizes so you can imagine the look on my face when the nurse at pre-op said ‘oh don’t bother with a sports bra’ lol!!
