After seeing quite a few rants on here re: aftercare etc .. I just wanted to Have my say too about poor contact from my PC at bham clinic !
I had my op in August and to this day have not heard one thing out of my PC not a call, an email or a quick courtesy text , yet from the day of my consultation to the day I paid my full amount , I spoke to her more than I spoke to my hubby , she was constantly texting , going to the ends of the earth to help me with any questions , even speaking to me at 10pm at night and Sundays , nothing was too much trouble but as soon as I committed to the op and the funds was in myas hands she couldn’t give a shit !!!
Dr Singh and the nurse Jess at bham have been super and the fitzroy staff were excellent too but I think a certain PC needs some customer care skills , yes I appreciate her job is to sell but treating people who are payin a lot of money for a scary procedure ,like cattle, takes the piss ! It’s not like she’s getting you to commit to buying a car is it , this is a big op and we need to know we have support /reassurance if needed after our ops and sadly I had nothing !!
So all in all I can’t fault mya and would recommend this fully worn the exception of 1 person

I have to agree. The last I heard off my PC was the day before my op to confirm my admission time, I haven’t heard a peep since and it’s really irritated me. All they need to do is send a quick text to see how you’re getting on…we’re not asking the world. After paying so much money you expect a little support included….nothing! I can’t fault my surgeon or the staff at the hospital (Preston first trust) but MYA’s admin staff (let’s be honest, that’s what they are) really could do with a bit more training in customer care, especially once the money has been handed over! Totally agree with this one
My PC left and I didn’t even get told about it, when I rang and asked why I haven’t heard anything they said “oh she’s left and you’ve got a new one” A new one that didn’t even bother ringing me to introduce herself.
Had my OP on friday and still to this day have not heard anything from her
Wrote a big complaint letter because that seriously is not on, nurses and doctors were great, but end of the day these PC’s are the face of the company and need to fix up

My pc at newcastle was amazing she rang me the afternoon of my surgery and.messaged me everyday for about a week.after to make sure everything was OK, I’m still in contact with her now 2 yrs on and would have no hesitation to call her if I had a query.

That’s a shame. I’m with Birmingham too and I love them. My PC has recently left but I got a email to say so. She was my second PC. The one who did my initial consultation, left and I didn’t know and was still texting trying to set up my next appointment like she’d told me to. I eventually got my new PC and everything was plain sailing from there. Calls after my reduction op, chatting to me when I’m at the clinic as I’m still there twice a week for dressing changes at 13 weeks PO. I do agree with the fantastic care from the nurses, they’ve been brilliant with me.

I must say I had an initial consultation with my PC at the fitzroy clinic. I received a text a couple of days later asking whether i have any questions following on from our meeting, to which I replied with a question. I am still waiting for the answer, to be honest I haven’t heard from her since…
