I’ve been advised from my surgeon to get Asda or primary bra. I was a 34a so been told to get a 36c and 36d but do the bras have to be just fastening as the only ones I’ve found are over the head will they be ok with that? And how do they get the sticky dressing off it’s stuck down so well. :/

You’ll need to get fastening bras either front or back fastening as you’ll struggle to get anything over your head for a least the first week. Even if you feel you can raise your arms, you should avoid it so you don’t pull your incisions. Congrats on the new additions! Not sure about strapping as I didn’t have any, I’m sure someone could help you with that though x

This Shock Absorber sports bra has been created especially for running, with an enhanced support system to target excessive breast movement and featuring seam-free and concealed elastic to reduce rubbing and chafing. This Shock Absorber running bra has been proven to reduce breast bounce by up to 78%. Top Tip…..Fasten the top clip before you put the Run bra on and then pull it on over your head. The bottom hook and eye can then be fastened once the Run bra is in place. It’s up to how u put it on

Hi hun i bought some primark ones,, the marks and spencer one and the shock absorber.
The shock absorber is super comfy but quite pricey, but defo worth the money.
The marks and spencers is great but i find it a bit hard (i dont know how else to put it) which supports my boobs but i dont find it comfy. I cant wait to get it off lol. But it does support your boobs if you can bear the uncomfortable-ness :p
The primark ones are super comfy too, but as alex said they have no support really that you need post op. I use this at night time as i sleep better with it on. I dont know if this is because my boobs dont fit great in it? I got the biggest size (large) and im bulging out. But its good to sleep in 🙂

    Hope this helps xxxxx

I’ve looked in primark and couldn’t find any looked in about 4-5 different stores. May have to look online for the Asda ones. Don’t want to pay much for first one as I need to get a few sizes to take I got told. Did u girls go up a backsiE when u had your strapping off and took your sports bra? Xx

I had my strapping off today. The nurse just pulled it off carefully for me. It more tickled than anything and want too uncomfortable. She was very gentle. I feel very bare without it now but much less discomfort 🙂
I removed the sticky residue with just warm water in the shower, it didn’t take long to come off.

I know you don’t want to pay loads for a sports bra. I didn’t want to either. I made many attempts to get a cheap one which ultimately cost me loads in the end. I got an asda one which didn’t support me at all, a primark one which caused me pain, a shock absorber zip front one which was too tight at the sides AND a usa pro from sports direct which was nice but felt like it was pulling my breasts together too much and was hurting.
In the end I HAD to go into town on boxing day to get a shock absorber ultimate run bra which I had tried on a few days earlier and felt really comfortable. However the price really put me off as it was nearly £40! I figured I could wait it out and get one cheaper online. Unfortunately the need for a supportive bra became desperate hence my brave venture into town. Luckily it had been reduced slightly in debenhams so I paid £30 and the lovely staff they’re even helped me get my top on and off and fastened/unfastened the bras for me into I decided on a size that was working for me.
Best decision I’ve made since deciding to get my new boobs.
This bra is definitely perfect for me. I can’t guarantee it’ll be the same for you but definitely worth a try if you’re struggling. xx

I’m going to get a more expensive one but I’ve got to take 4 sizes in with me so would rather get the cheaper ones for tomorrow when I get strapping off and then can get a more expensive one after xx
