On Saturday 20th 4 weeks post op I rung the out of hours number as my incisions have had little amounts of pus coming out. Lady on phone told me it’s normal and not to worry, told me to cover incisions with a plaster and told me they would ring back on Monday to see how they are! Waited for a phone call, nobody rang. I tried to ring them and had no luck. On Tuesday I kept ringing and ringing, managed to get the number for the Fitzroy. Rang about ten times before anyone actually answered, the girl was really nice and put a note on system for Nurse to ring me. A lovely nurse called Lea rung me, however she isn’t based at the Fitzroy, I think she was bristol. She advised me to come in and see the nurse, however it Christmas eve so not sure I’d get an appointment. I went to my Dr’s to see the nurse there as was worried I had caught infection. My nurse told me there was no infection present but I had holes on the incisions and the pus is coming from them and where my stiches are. I rung Lea back but she said Fitzroy would be closing and to ring back Saturday when they reopen. I rung Saturday, again about 6 times before anyone answered. I got told there was no nurses available to see me until Wednesday 31st!!! Told to keep my incisions covered. I have kept incisions covered but have changed the dressings every other day as there pus on dressing. Yesterday I accidentally pulled a stich out, it was attached to dressing. So I now have another hole. I best not catch an infection as I WILL be blaming the mya team… it’s discusting that I haven’t been able to get an earlier appointment.. what if I did have an infection? I paid a lot of money for these boobs, saved for a long time, I love them, have no other problems with them at all but I’m not happy with the aftercare at the moment. My nurse is Louise and she is lovely I can’t fault her but the rest of the service I’m not happy with. Anybody else had same problem with their incisions?? sorry for the rant, I just feel let down.
