    Bit of a gross subject but I wish someone had of told me! The pain killers mya give you, mixed with the antibiotics cause constipation. I hadn’t really thought about it as I’ve been in pain etc but 5 days without going to the toilet I started getting tummy cramps so took some docolax and finally did go to the toilet and ended up throwing up everywhere, nearly fainted and felt really ill. On top of my body already in pain, it really made my incisions hurt. I’d take them even if you don’t feel like you need too! Just a word of advice for any girls with their op soon xx

    Aww, bless you hun. Hope you’re feeling better now. How many days post op are you? Nobody told me about getting laxatives. I was soo bloated and constipated by day 3 post op, that I looked six months pregnant. I had to take some senna to get rid of the horrible bloated feeling. I continued to take it every couple of days, and now feel so much better. Constipation is one of the side effects of codeine. xxx

    hope you’re okay lovely! i read that a few girls were constipated so i bought some herbal laxatives from holland & barratt, fruit cubes i think. hope you’re feeling better after taking them xx

    Hi I’m in exactly the same position !! I’m 5 days after my op and had to resort to taking laxatives to make me poo, it seems a by common side effect . I had to stop taking the co codamol that were given to me and replace them with paracetamol instead. Luckily I’ve never been in that much pain so I was able to manage with paracetamol . That feeling of not being able to go th toilet is really not nice !!

    I’m 5 days today! Get the strapping off Tuesday and I can’t wait. Really starting to get on my nerves now haha. I’m okay now but was in such a state last night, I’m amazed at what my bodies gone through this past week haha. I’m still taking the co codamal 🙁 still in pain and can’t do much. Today I’ve been having really sharp stabbing pains where incisions are and where drains where. Hope it’s all over soon haha! But thank you girls xxx
