Have been booked in for my op for weeks now, have been for all my consultations and everything was ok, yesterday I had a call to say they needed my GP letter back so I sorted that out and got it back to them. In the meantime I received my admission time and all details needed for tomorrow. I’ve booked time off work, sorted transport, booked hotels and my partner has taken time off work to look after me. Only now I had a call to say they can’t operate on me as my GP letter states I haven’t been back to the doctors since October last year so the doctors can’t comment on my procedure!!! Talk about last minute, I’m now running about like a blue arsed fly trying to get an additional letter so my op can go ahead tomorrow as planned from weeks ago! Not happy at all!!!!!
