I knew I would, I bruise so damn easily! All down my sternum, across both breasts where the post op bra sits, across ribs and even top of my chest! Poo!
Also wondering girls, did any of you get real hot flushes with taking cocodamol? I seem to be really red faced and my body is a bit red too, face feels really hot to the touch. I’ve checked the label and it does say it can be a side effect just hadn’t seen anyone else mention it! Anyone have this?
Xxx
I can’t see if I’m bruised as I’m strapped up to my eyeballs but I keep getting hot flushes. Not so much going red but coming over in sweats and warm to touch. Assuming it’s some form of side effect from one of the drugs we were given xx
I’m the same with the red face from cocodamol! It seems to make my whole body hot to the touch.
Just woke up to take my meds again & feel so swollen now the strapping is literally squeezing me!!! Get some arnica tablet down you to help with swelling and bruising xx
I was all hot and sweaty for a few days after surgery, but I think it’s probably the anaesthetic coming out of us plus the medication. On day 4 Id has enough and rang my gp and got new painkillers as the co codomol were crippling me with trapped wind , constipation and bloating! That was the worst pain more then the actual
Boobs! I got naproxen and within a day I felt amazing honestly if anyone is struggling on co codomol please get new tablets. I’m now day 9 and I’m pretty much pain free plus I had a uplift. Xx
Amazing I may have to go and ask for some then! I’m glad I’m not the only one was starting to worry about the flushes thinking maybe it was allergic reaction like the leaflet says! Probably all that anaesthetic coming out of my system too.
How you getting on girls? And are you ok Lucy? Xxxx
I used to get the opposite with co-codamol- tremors. Used to shake like a leaf and nothing would get me warm or stop it. Baring in mind it was end of July! So unless ur in agonising pain I wouldn’t take the damn thing..
I also had strange hot flushes and constipation/bloating from the co-codamol they gave me. Like Steph, I went to my GP who also gave me Naproxen 500mg. It worked so well that I was almost pain free within a couple of days, and it also helped so much with the swelling. I don’t know why Mya don’t give analgesics/anti-inflammatories like Naproxen or Diclofenac. They work so much better than co-codamol and don’t cause the horrible constipation that alot of girls seem to suffer from. xxx
Ok babe thanks a lot, I think a trip to the doctors is in order tomorrow!!!! Sounds a lot better to me! I am getting constipated now and the hot flushes aren’t particularly nice either xxx
I’m okay! Strspping feels so tight and I feel sore and swollen but just taking it easy. I’m expecting it to get worse to be honest! Xx
