At the pre-op you meet with a nurse who will do MRSA swabs on your arm pit and nose, she will give you some information on the procedure and how to get to the hospital. I was asked if I’d had an operation in the last six months and because I hadnt I didn’t need a blood test.

I was told that I may be given a blood test at mine. I’m not great with needles to be honest but if I have to have one I will reluctantly have one. Same as above, plus they take your blood pressure and weight xx

Weight height blood pressure, pictures and goes through your medical history and about advises on after care. My nurse was really lovely it wasn’t as near as nervous as if thought I’d be 🙂 xx

I had my pre-op appointment with the nurse this morning; she was fantastic and tried to answer all of my questions. If there is anything in your medical history that you think will require a blood test, prepare for one. She just basically talked through the whole procedure and what will happen on the day. I found it so useful as I could ask questions I didn’t see necessary to ask my surgeon. Hope all goes well. 🙂
