    Hey girls,

    I have booked my surgery for 7th June (eek!) just wondering how long you all took off work. I’m already going to have to change my availability due to a 4 week work placement pre-boobs so don’t then want to say oh btw I’ve had my boobs done I need another 3 weeks off.

    Any advice would be appreciated 🙂
    P.S I work in a bar x

    Would love to know to I work in a busy pub so wanted to know how long id need off I can get away with not lifting any trays of glasses but wondering if I could do everything else normally xxx

    i work in retail, i’m a supervisor so do all the deliveries and re merchandising the departments and i’m having two weeks off. i’m 9 days PO and still don’t feel i could go back yet . xx

    I’m 11 days post op and I just went back to everyday life today. I wouldve managed fine on day 10 but I wouldn’t have wanted to have gone back any sooner than that xx

    hey ive gone back to work 12 days Po im a reception class teacher so ive been running round after 30 four-year-olds today! i’m fine other than my energy levels! and lifting weight wise i was lifting a 3 year old and 1 year old yesterday.
    if you went back to work 2 weeks PO i think you should be fine (i worked in a bar for 4 yrs so i know the work demands) but go to your gp before returning to work and get a sick note saying you are fit for work but you need to be on light duties!
    just covers your back for if a moody manager or supervisor tries to force to lift heavy barrels or glass trays. you will be able to listen to your body then and only lift when you are ready to!xxx

    Ah thank you! I have actually changed jobs since I posted this, I work at Sainsbury’s now so its not as strenous as bar/waitressing, I think 2 weeks will be long enough. Also do I need a letter from my GP? if so how do i go about getting one and what does it need to say xx
