My op is next week and because I’ve had to stop the contraceptive pill, it might mean that I will be on ‘that time of the month’ during my op. Would that be a problem?

I think I remember someone saying I will have to postpone my op because of it. Has this happened to anyone? xx

You don’t have to postpone. Just tell them the situation and you’ll have to wear a sanitary towel in your paper knickers, not a tampon x

Hi huni I was just coming off my period when I had my op, best thing to do is speak to your or nurse, she will either tell to wear a pad or a tampon it shouldn’t really affect your op x

It was time of the month for me during my op – I just wore a sanitary towel. Just make sure you inform your nurse 🙂 xx

    Thank you girls so much!

Was getting worried and as much as I’m scared for my op.. I didn’t want it to be postponed!

Do you have any tips for the op day? I’m more worried about the op than the pain after 🙁 xx

@sabinaellingham this might sound a bit strange but try and enjoy it! I was completely off my face on my painkillers for the rest of the day after my op, I just remember giggling even though I was uncomfortable and in a bit of pain! I remember the nurse telling me that I kept saying I felt like I had a headache in my boobs and it was the first time she’d heard that lol! Just try and look at all the positives instead of worrying about the pain! X

Hiya Sabina, just remember no pain no gain 😛 I had my surgery a week ago and I must admit I was in pain but the nurses will keep it under control and they have some super strong pain killers if you need it, so you’re in good hands. My surgery was a week ago, and i am in very minimal pain now. The first few days were definitely the worst for me but so worth it for my new boobies xx
