So, at 12 weeks post-op, I finally got measured properly today. Since 6 weeks post-op, I’d just been trying on bras, waiting for my left boob to catch up in size to my right one and I hadn’t been accurately measured. I’d bought some 32DD bras, which seemed to fit relatively well, but I still mostly wore my sports bras.
I booked a bra fitting appointment at Debenhams today, and I was in awe when the lady said to me that the bra I was wearing was the wrong size. She measured my back size to be 27 inches and then returned with this massive 30F plunge bra, which in all honesty, I thought would be too big. To my suprise, the cups fit perfectly and it felt even more comfortable and supportive when she adjusted the straps, and she concluded that this was my correct size. She also gave me a 32E to try on, which was also a good fit.
I was so overjoyed at this and bought both the bras she’d recommended. Am so grateful not being flat-chested anymore and it is such a relief not having to wear those horrrible heavily padded bras anymore that I’d gotten so used to. When I look down at them everyday and they look so big, I almost can’t believe they are mine and not those silly padded bras I couldn’t live without. I have Mya to thank, for giving me the body confidence that I’d somewhat been lacking for a long time before my op. Am so in love with my boobs, I can’t stop taking pictures of them. I’ve uploaded some new pics on my profile for friends who may want to see.
For any pre-op ladies who are in doubt whether to go through with the surgery or not, don’t be. You won’t regret it. I know this gets said all the time, but this is by far one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Hooray for big knockers!!!
