Hi girls alot if people have said things to me like “you should wait until after you have kids before you get your boobs done”
Why?? Will they need redone again? I dont want to wait until after ive jad kids as im not near that stage yet! Surely if I’ve had implants they won’t change that much? I have hardly any breast tissue and never put weight on on my upper body. So I don’t see my boobs getting that much bigger during pregnancy? And is there ever any cases where you can’t breast feed if you’ve had them done?
Thanks x
The thing about pregnancy is that your breasts fill up with milk after giving birth. To be honest, there’s nothing better than your own milk to baby and their immunity. I’ve had one though and I know I don’t last longer than 2 months with the whole breastfeeding. But before surgery I asked surgeon what if i get pregnant again and he said to avoid breastfeeding because in fact they can change afterwards. I’m not sure how I feel about it. … to be honest.
That’s not really true. I had mine done when I was 19 and had 2 kids. There was no problem with breastfeeding and they change slightly with age and gravity regardless of the kids. Trust me when I say it’s better to have them done now, if nothin else when you have kids you’ll always find an excuse to spend the money elsewhere. And finding childcare and picking them up when you’re sore etc. don’t listen to people who have never had them done telling you to wait till after you have kids. Why?! As long as the incision is under the boob you can breastfeed if you wish to. Mine were mostly bottle fed and they are healthy 10 and 5 year old boys. Breastmilk is good and natural but it’s not the end of everything if you don’t breastfeed them….
There’s pros and cons either way.
You can still breast feed with a normal ba.
I wanted my ba at 18 after I stopoed breast feeding my daughter at17 months.
Due to lack of money I left it and had 2 more daughters who I breast fed. So october last year I was trying on clothes to go out and burst into to tears.
Over the years I had mentioned ba to my husband and he always said what are you waiting for.
That night my husband got on the laptop and emailed Mya to give me a call back.
1st November I had consultation and 9th met with Mr kazzazi. 19th December op day!!!
Glad I did it wish I had of done it sooner .
Maybe if I had of done it at 18 by now and 2 babies later I would have needed a lift and new implants but I wouldn’t have spent the last 10 years avoiding going out with friends and had a better/ more confident sex life with my husband.
Life is for living and for the here and now x x x
I was told on first consultation 3 years ago initial consultation that if I wanted children within the next 12 months to wait for my boobs (which I did).
My boobs however weren’t bad before pregnancy and were quite perky, I was just greedy and wanted them bigger.
From my experience, my boobs changed quite a bit post pregnancy, I was a full C cup before breastfeeding and was left with very empty Bs. Not sure what it would have looked like if I had fake boobs – most likely I would have to have an uplift as well as bigger implants to get them back.
I was only offered 460s pre pregnancy but 3 years down the line and after having a baby, I was offered 650s so chuffed I waited as I have biggeer ones!! You can tell from this size difference how much my skin actually stretched.
But like Yana said, it doesn’t affect some people – I guess it’s just personal choice and how well your skin adaps to pregnancy – but it wasn’t a risk I wanted to take so I waited.
However on the flip side if I felt like Amy and was really unhappy from a young age, I most likely would have gone ahead with it sooner, it’s just I had never really thought about it.
If you’re really unhappy, I’d say go for it now xx
Hi,
I wanted to offer you my experience!
I wanted a boob job from 16 at least. My boobs were always a 34a/b and I always felt they were tiny even though they were perky. However I couldnt afford it then (and prob too nervous to put the time into trying to get the money and actually do it).
I’ve since had 2 children and breast fed them both. I do not know whether breastfeeding alters your boobs more than just pregnancy alone. Ive heard views from either side. But what I do know is that during pregnancy and then breastfeeding afterwards I went from a 34a/small 34b to a 34DD! The stretching meant that now afterwards I have very empty looking/saggy 34a/b boobies.
If I had them done before my babies I imagine that I would therefore need to get them redone now, whereas now I can just get them all sorted all in one.
My surgeon did say you can breast feed etc with them so you can put your thoughts about how you might want to feed your babies aside because even if you did (and you might not want to) breast feed them you still can.
The questions I suppose you need to ask are:
– how soon am I likely to want children?
– if my boobs needed re-doing post children could I afford to do that?
If you are planning on having children in the next couple of years and you think it would be too costly to have them done again afterwards, and you can ‘live’ with your current boobs for now then best advice might be to hold out.
However if you arent planning on having them for many years (I didnt have mine in the end until I was 32!) then you might think actually there is enough child free years to benefit from now even if you did have to have them lifted or redone.
Hope that helps xxx
Thanks girls that’s great advice! I definitely want them done before I have kids. I wonder if it is breast feeding that might cause them to change or if it’s just the fact they fill up with milk. I suppose everyone’s different so there can’t be one yes or no answer for this question! Thanks for the advice you’ve all put my mind at rest!! X
Two of the girls I work with both had bas before children and they both breast fed and both of them have said that they like there boobs better now after having children, they haven’t sagged or lost shape at all they both still look amazing, I’m In the same boat as you wait to have them done after children or just do it now, and my partner said after we’ve had children you will find an excuse to spend money on other things so I thought do you know what you only live once and if you want Them done get them done :), I’ve also read on other websites a lot of people have said if you do have children and want to breat feed after a ba just wear a supportive bra and it really helps :), good luck with your decision :), xx
I definately agree with @tiffanyl0912, when you have kids your guilt won’t let you spend that amount of money on yourself. You become less selfish and all about them not you. It takes a lot more to justify it then:) so do it now;)
Im also in this dilemma 🙁 Im 22 at the minute and wont be having children till around 28-29 (ideally). Im thinking that I should just go ahead rather than be miserable with my boobs xx
I would just have them done now and dont listen to people advising against it . Its yoru body and you hating how you look at the moment. Im having mine done soon i have 3 kids.. I so wish i had had them done when i was younger ! I dont know why i listened and waited until i had my kids. Should have just had them at 18 like i wanted to . Life is for enjoying – why be miserable ? xx
