Hello,
I’m booked in for Vaser on my Inner and Outer Thighs and my flanks, but not 100% sure whether to go ahead.
I am a size 10/12 but carry most of my weight on my middle section and thighs. Will Vaser make much difference in these areas and how long do the results generally take.
Also I am booked in on the Thursday and have to go back into work on the Tuesday. Will it be obvious to everyone at work that I am swollen? Would I be able to be discreet about the whole thing? Are the undergarments discreet?
I just want to be sure that I’m 100% before going ahead with it.
Any help/advice/pics would be much appreciated.

Hi Sam
I had exactly the same areas done last Monday I am size 8 and there is def a difference already in the contour of my body even with all the swelling (about 1kg at least of extra fluid still at my first post op – the nurse said completely normal in first 7 days and then will drop off). Judging from other girls photos it will def make a difference especially if that’s where you carry it as they can take more fat. They took about 1700ml from me and as I said my contour is def already better. The surgeon wouldn’t have advised you to proceed if they didn’t think they could make a really visible difference. At my 5 day post op the nurse said she would think I would start seeing a real difference by 10-14 days and quite a bit of the swelling will have gone down by then. My thighs have bruised out already so hoping this will start going down with the swelling. Full results can take up to 6 months but after the surgery Dr Max was fairly confident by 6 weeks we should see most of the improvement.
I personally would take more time off. I am not going to lie – this is no walk away procedure – I spent the first 3 days in bed and was pretty sick. However you then start recovering quite quickly – I finally feel able to go out tonight (sat) after the procedure on Monday for dinner although I am not eating much yet. I am not really taking meds anymore and can cope ok.
The garment is actually ok. I find it pretty comfy it’s quite restrictive round the ribs as it comes up to under boobs and mine is short so just below knees. I have found wearing knee length circle skirts or dresses with boots cover it up really well. The nurses said no one would be able to tell ( even tho I felt massive due to swelling and local anaesthetic!!) going on a bit sorry !! Hope that helps! If you have any specific questions feel free to message. I have photos on my profile to give you an idea of the areas too if it helps.
thanks Bel. Really useful. I’m not going to be able to get more time off work sadly.
I am probably going to have to cancel and wait until later in the year 🙁
How long did it take to get back into jeans? are you feeling recovered yet?
Thanks again!
Hi Sam
Well it’s day 6/7 after surgery now and swelling-wise I am only a tiny bit bigger than before so I fit all my clothes and jeans no probs now. Still FEEL massive but the nurse said measurement wise I am almost the same as before and will only go down now! I only put on 1kg in swelling in total so hope that will be gone in a few weeks. Hope you don’t have to cancel as it is quite costly! But if you do I would wait till autumn so it’s not too hot when you have to wear the garment 24/7 xxx
