Exercise 3 weeks post op? Started by: Sasha

    Hi all, I know I’m not allowed to do any high impact exercise, or weights or anything, but jut wondering if any of you went back to stuff like squats and sit-ups? I’m at a wedding in 3 weeks, and although I haven’t put on weight, I’ve noticed that the tone in my legs and tummy is going so want to get back ontop of these things. Advice/opinions please xxx

    Hey, i’m the same as you i’ve been really watching what i eat so no weight gain but feel untoned!

    I’m going to start with some light squats, with abs i thought it might be abit risky but i think ones where you dont actually do a crunch would be fine – so exercises like lying on your back or sat up then keeping your legs in front and crossing over should be ok 🙂

    Hi sasha and rosa I was advised by the nurse that light walking is fine as long as you have your sports bra on it shouldn’t be a problem but just don’t over do it xx

    I wouldn’t do squats and situps, as will actually use your pectoral muscles (albeit slightly), so if you went under or partially under it’s not advised – light walking is fine though x
