Well girls it POD 4 today and I must say sometimes I forget I’ve even had a BA. The pain isn’t as bad as I originally thought it would be. When I came out of hospital wed 13th may I took 2 painkillers and the next morning I took 2 (couldn’t feel any pain the nurse just said take 2 four times a day) however I started feeling extremely sick and threw up a few times through it. Me and my partner had booked a stay in the Yorkshire Dales for me to rest as we have four children, so my mother is minding them while we have come here. On the drive up I was so ill and my partner had to keep stopping the car for me to be sick. From this I didn’t take anymore of the co-codamol painkillers as I didn’t want to feel sick (hospital said this was ok to do just take paracetamol and ibuprofen). As we had booked a cabin in the woods the shops were about 15mins drive away and I couldn’t be bothered to go back out and didn’t want to be left alone so that night, the Thursday 14th, I went without painkillers and I must say I was waiting for the pain to kick in but it never did. I just feel really achey sometimes, mainly when I wake up. Day 2 + 3 we went to the local town centre, did a bit of shopping, had a meal and a bit of a wander and I was totally fine. Can’t walk at my normal speed and I am doing things a lot slower however I’m not in pain just a little discomfort, like when you wear a really tight sportsbra lol. The only thing that is bothering me is the sleeping, it’s quite hard to get comfy but when I do I sleep fine. I honestly think the walking and keeping active has done me good. I hear a lot of girls who have just stayed in bed and I don’t think this is a good thing to do in my opinion as your just in one place thinking about it. Obviously if your in a lot of pain you have no choice but for me keeping active has done me the world of good. I would definatly recommend it as I’m only taking my antibiotics not painkillers since day 2 and I am now on POD 4 and feel great. We are even planning on going on a trip to see Richmonds castle today haha.
I did have a bit of boob greed day 2 and wished they were bigger however they looked a little bigger yesterday so I’m just being patient for now. All in all I’ve have enjoyed my journey so far and look forward to the rest of it and the finally look of my boobies. I have attached some pictures of the way they looked yesterday excuse the tan lines, I can’t go out looking really pale haha 🙂 xxx
I’ll add more photos to my profile it’s not working here
Hey Hun!
So good to read what you have said, apart from the feeling sick bit! I’m POD 3 and I’ve woken up feeling great again! Today I noticed my boobs aren’t as swollen under my arms if that makes sense?
But like yourself I have also got out of bed and been walkin around and what not, my surgeon told me to carry on normal but with extra care and to not ware myself out! Your boobs look really good ! Nice to see your positive attitude! Can I add you to follow your progress xx
Yeah sure Hun @emma !! I think it’s the best thing to do keeping active that’s what our bodies are used to. I feel great because of it. I just can’t wait to see what they look like when the swelling has gone down and they drop and fluff out. What size did you get hunni xxx
@tracy I went to 350cc high profiles!
I’ll be uploading more photos tomorrow now that they’ve moved again! The only thing I can’t really do is handle the tablets, make me very tired and drowsy! Went looking in the shops today to see what new bras I can wear! Excited to by new stuff when I can! Have you noticed much change in the past few days? Xx
I have actually not just by looking at them, but I’ve took pictures everyday and I looked back at them this morning. They have only changed slightly but to me they look bigger however it might just be swelling (hope not though lol). I only took tablets one day and that’s it because they just made me feel sick but I’ve had no pain just felt uncomfy so didn’t take any just the antibiotics. Awwh I can’t wait to buy new clothes and bras, I’m was a size 6 in tops so nothing will fit me at all now apart from my baggy tops and vests so can’t wait to get a new wardrobe lol. I just want them to hurry up and heal now haha @emma x
They look amazing, I’ve just 350 unders today and feel surprisingly ok! One side feels really achy but other feels fine! Happy healing xx
@tracylou23 hope you don’t mind the add!
They look amazing and it’s so good to hear that you have still been quite active as I don’t think I could sit still all week lol
