Hiya. How upright are we meant to be sleeping after our op? Completely sat up like in a chair? Or on slight angle? I actually can’t get totally upright in bed, the more upright I am I can’t sleep and keep waking up and I keep slipping down the bed during the night. I have a v pillow, duvet, pillows etc but not sat up, just at an angle. Will this be ok?

Hiya hun, I’m 7 days PO – I tried sleeping in bed upright with loads of pillows and ended up doing my back in which was worse than the actual boobs! I got a v shaped pillow from Argos and slept on the sofa and it’s the best thing I ever did! I had a pillow against the arm of the couch, then the v pillow, then the little wedge pillow it came with under my lower back/bum. Xxx

Plus if you don’t sleep upright enough you can get up in the morning with your morning boobs :L xx

As a 45° angle…so not completely upright…so long as your boobs are higher than your hips you’re fine. It’s just yo help swelling go down.xxx

Thank you! I’m definitely sleeping at an angle where they’re above my hips, so hopefully that will be ok. The higher up I am the worse my back gets. I slept a little bit lower last night (well, I woke up lower!) and my back is fine. Getting out of bed though is a nightmare! It’s so hard to get myself up and then they start aching. It goes after a few minutes but it’s so uncomfortable! Thanks girls 🙂
