Does anyone know how long I need to leave it till I can go on a sunbed? I know I’ll have to be careful but I need one for eczema! Xx

My nurse said don’t go on one for a year!! If you do your scars will permanently go dark. She said if I must then you have to keep your scars well covered @emma x

A year???!!! Bloody helllllllll! Hmm I’ll speak to my tanning lady as she’s really strict and see if she advices the same lol. I know my friend went on but she covered her scars up and doesn’t seem to have dark scars lol xxx

I was told the same thing 12 months without sun exposure and if I did sunbathe to cover the scars AND use factor 50. My PC even said best not to go topless on holiday in the first year. As the scar tissue will tan a lot faster and will obviously then take much longer to fade and disappear.

I go on but roll a small towel up and hold it over my scars so there’s no chance of tanning beneath the towel 🙂
