Hospital experience was good , I had quite a bit of a wait my admission was 11 I think and I went down at approx 4.30 -45 I remember waking up at just before 6, I was leaving for home at 10 so it was a really long day. Anaesthetic was really quick I remember it feeling really cold up my arm then next thing I know I was waking up and very out of it lol, drains I actually liked which is really weird because everyone moans about them , they relieved a lot of pressure when they were in , it felt really weird getting them taken out but there was this immediate increase in pressure I was like oh no I preferred them in to the nurse!! everything else was smooth sailing, I tried eating the toast but didn’t have much of an appetite after . I would say recovery was fine just felt a bit stiff for the first few days.i felt perfectly fine after one week (thats when strapping came off- this I hated the most – it was so tight and gave me back ache I had to trim it down to get a bit more movement ( the nurse partially strapped my under arm after dressing the drain entry hole which made arm movement limited ) and I don’t know why but the smell of the strapping made me nauseous – it’s not bad just really plasticy- that was prob a personal side effect though I quite sensitive to smells making me feel sick ,although I can’t say I regret having it because I deffo feel it helped the boobs get a good placement early on xx
