Hello all 🙂 !!
I know a few of you have been following my posts about the problems I have been having. I thought I would give you an update of how surgery went.
So I went to first Preston yesterday and my admission time was 12, I was the last one in the list so I didn’t get seen and taken into theatre at 4:30, I was so hungry and cranky by this point ! Haha
I was very nervous about my re op, about in increased risks, chances etc. I went into theatre nervous but the staff helped me keep at ease, talking about work, holiday etc. I was soon asleep.
All I remember was waking up shouting my friends name ‘rosie’ haha I must have been out of it and I bet the nurses got a giggle ! Traynor had his normal clothes on now and was leaving, the anaesthetic was making talk nonsense I was like ‘but why are you leaving have you finished’
Ahhahahahaha !!
He came over and said the problems I had with my left breast was delayed Hematoma.
He had to do a full capsulectomy on my left breast and it was filled with blood, I feel disheartened this would happen 3 years later when I thought everything was fine. It’s very very rare, less than 1%. And normally attached to people who have had major trauma like car crashes etc. Hematoma can cause the scar tissue to harden and rise, it can cause a degree of capsular contracture, which I think I had as he did the full capsulectomy.
I didn’t receive full information if it had caused that, did my Hematoma reach the infection stage ? But I am looking to find all my answers in my follow up appointment. Although I don’t know if I will find out now.
I do know that these issues have increased my chances of reccuring Hematoma or capsular contracture. I am trying not to worry about this but it’s always at the back of mind at the moment.
On the positive side I am happy with my results so far, traynor has gone through the same scars and they don’t look as high as my primary breast augmentation, but even and I’m glad the Evacuation of Hematoma has decreased the size. I’m just hoping so much I won’t get problems with these ones as its a higher chance. 🙁
Is there any other girls on here that have experienced Hematoma/ delayed Hematoma. Undergone a capsulectomy ?? In which I can talk to ?
Anyways here are my photos of my new 425 cc overs :):) i was worried they will look too big but happy with them !!!
Sorry about the essay !! On one last note, girls if you ever have a worry about something being wrong, get it checked. MYA have an amazing team and I went in with this worry and it’s been done in the same week! It’s a great aftercare guarantee, I had my re op on both beasts done again and traynor was supportive.
Xxxxx
Here are some pictures of the Hematoma and me happy post op! A sneaky pic of my new boobies !! Will post more soonx
Glad it went well Hun!! I’m also worrying that my previous capsulectomy puts me at higher risk of complications this time! I’m currently having a worry that starting to get a double bubble on them, but I sent a photo of the area I was worried about to my PC and she showed it to nurses and got back to me in under an hour to say at this stage they look normal and need to wait til fully healed to see what look like then! I can’t bare the thought of having to have another reaug if not right this time! Especially as I’m getting married next year so it’s not a great time for a re aug then.
Fingers crossed for both of us they heal ok this time and continue to be well well into the years!!
Xx
Congrats babe! They look lush! Just had mine done about 2 hours ago. 480 cc uhp overs ♡ love them xxx
They look amazing! My admission time was 12 today with 425s how are you feeling today xxxx
@paige I’m feeling ok, still in quite a bit pain in my incisions but have just been resting. It seems a lot more painful than the first time around.
Photo update ! …. Mr traynor said the left will still be a bit swollen compared to the right for a while as that is where I had the capsulectomy
I may have capsular contracture in my left breast and there’s a chance I’ll be needing Capsulectomy.
How much volume will I lose? Is it worth putting a bigger implant?
If I have Capsulectomy in just the one breast, will you notice the size difference between the two?
