Hi I’m new on here n have my op booked for next Sunday! I’m a 32a having 300cc hp unders. Waited over 10 years for this so I’m so excited! Just worried about recovery, I know everyone’s different but can anyone who has had similar tell me how their recovery was?? Lifting arms up, driving, washing hair, walking dog etc. thanks ladies xx
hey hun, I was driving by day 4/5 and i had to have my mum wash my hair first few times and people had to style it too etc, as it was too much to lift them, was like a massive dull ache! but after about a week i was able to do a lot more, my surgeon advised me to carry on as normal but at a slower pace, which i did and i have had no problems! Also, i wouldnt risk taking dog just yet as you may damage your new ladies xxxx
I was able to do everything after 2 days- drive, work, lift arms etc, just didn’t lift anything heavy 🙂 2 days of soreness but nothing afterwards! Good luck xxx
Hi everyone this is my first post I have no ideal really how to use this, I’m post day 6 I had unders 350cc and 375cc from a 34a. When I took my Maccom off for the first time my boobs felt so heavy and almost like they swelled and felt like all the blood went straight to them it made me feel like faint and almost like they were gna fall off I couldn’t get my Maccom back on quick enough. Have any of you felt like this? I’ve got my first check up tmz and just scared taking the Macom off again lol couldn’t even take a picture but this was me straight out of surgery
Mine felt like that for two days in the strapping they feel fine now just a little heavy still xxx
Aw ok fab so it’s just a case of getting through the sensation 🙂 ?
Definitely xx I’m waiting for my post op on Wednesday and I’ll ask about everything just to double check its all normal x
Thanks ladies, you have put my mind at ease ? xx
Aw that’s cool I got mine tmz how long ago was yours? I go back to work on Thursday, So hoping it’s all good news tmz everything’s feeling pretty ok now so il be going back to work post day 10 🙂
Hi Nikki, So glad that you’ve finally be able to do something that you’ve wanted for such a long time!
Ok so to answer your questions:
Lifting arms up – You will be able to lift them up, however you will most likely feel sore from this, because when they cut through muscles in the boobs they also cut through muscles that connect to your arms, and so when you move your arms it just feels like a bruising sensation, almost like you did a massive arm work out at the gym and you pay that awful price the next day lol.
Driving- They always advice to give it two weeks to drive, however that being said i was driving after day 5. This obviously will be different for everyone.
Washing hair- My mother or best friend washed my hair for me for a good two weeks or so. This is because i couldn’t lift my arms up above my head to wash my hair and no doubt you’ll be the same. the feeling feels like the scar is going to pop open lol! it will feel very tight under the boob for a couple of weeks so perhaps buy some dry shampoo for those days when you just need a top up.
Dog walking- I wouldn’t advise walking your dog yourself for atleast a week. I’m sure your surgeon would have already advised you that its important to stay in bed and to avoid as much movement as you can. Walking will of course make your boobs move and could cause pain and inflammation.
I would advise to just take it easy for as long as possible, Stay in bed, prop yourself up and keep yourself dosed on the medication. I will also give you a heads up that after i had my boobs done for the first month i had these awful boob cramps, I’m not sure if you’ll get them as i had partial not under, but if you will get them the times you’ll have the pain is when you try to lay on your side, when you make sudden movements or moving your arms to much. I’m guessing the movements move the implant which leans against a muscle and causes the cramp.
Hope the healing process goes smoothly for you, Make sure to buy some bio oil and get them on the scars once the scabbing has healed up. good luck xx
Hiya Nikki, everyone recoveries are different.
Walking – I couldn’t walk at normal speed, I was so slow and hunch back
Driving – I didn’t drive till 4 weeks post op – I found it virtually impossible. It pulls like mad!!!
Lifting arms – I wasn’t able to lift my arms above my head till about 3/4 weeks post op without it pulling
Don’t rush anything. Take it steady, you’ve spent a lot of money for you to push yourself too much and do something to them. I had 250cc hp unders.. I’m 8 weeks post op now but I think I was feeling normal about 5 weeks for definite ?Xxx
Thanks ladies you have made me feel loads better, I just can’t wait now, I’m counting down the days! Xx
Don’t worry at all, just take it easy for the first week and youl be fine, I had my surgery on the 6th 425cc and I’m back at work , driving, walking, showering, absolutely fine, if they let me I’d probably be running too ha. a couple of little things make me twinge but nothing major, I came off painkillers a couple of days after op because I don’t really like taking pills and I was convinced they were making me worse, soon as I came off them I was fine,
The first few days it was hard sleeping and sitting up out of bed, but it’s all worth it!
I went on long walks a little too soon though and would find myself out of breath, but just take it easy.
Youl be fine 🙂 xxxxx
Thanks Paige, I just want it doing now! Not long to go, no doubt I’ll be petrified the closer it gets though xx
