Hi girls
I’ve posted about this before but I’m so so stuck and need some advice.
If you had a choice of overs or unders.. Which would you chose and why?
I am a 34b hoping for a D with either 375cc or 400cc implants. When I asked Dr Traynor he automatically said overs. But I’m worried about higher risks of capsular contracture/rippling if I lose weight and just generally not looking very natural. He said he could perform unders if I really really wanted them but he said overs would be fine…
Are unders worth the extra pain or should I just go with overs?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Mine where put under but told mine was overs few years bk but I felt fine and I’m a weak link for pain if u stay topped up on the pain killers u have nothing to worry about
Thanks melody. I’m so undecided. I feel like unders are a safer option to look more natural but my surgeon says overs would be fine and going unders would be unnecessary x
I had overs but I had a lot of tissue due to breast feeding, plus I’m a kick boxer so unders wouldn’t have worked well due to they style of exercise I do. There are some pics on my profile
Thanks vickie I have added you if you don’t mind. I lift weights in the gym too so although I’m edging more towards unders, i don’t want them mishaping due to my muscle constantly contracting when lifting. I’m not a body builder or anything like that, we just do a lot of heavy weight stuff. Hope you’re doing well with recovery x
I was told that unders would give the most natural look. I had my BA yesterday and I’m in a lot of pain which tends to happen from unders. I have been told that I can’t do any exercise that involves my upper arms for 3 months. I’m not sure if it’s the same with overs (I’m just thinking now about your weights). I play netball and swim which I will not be able to do for a long time. I’m pleased with how it has all gone so far and have confidence in my surgeon that the results will be worth it. Xxx
Thanks for your reply Molly. 3 months is such a long time! Maybe overs would be better for me. How are you feeling? What size did you have/what were you before? Xx
I’ve gone from a small B to 325ccHP unders. I’m hoping this will take me to a D/DD. It’s hard to really know what they are like yet as I’ve my bra on and my strap and they are so painful. I don’t even want to see them properly yet. I will post some pictures to my profile in a week when I’m confident enough to take a picture. You always hear 6 weeks about the exercise thing but my surgeon said that is only light exercise to the lower body and no upper body stuff for 3 months. I’m feeling okay it just really hurts when I get in and out of bed which I’m doing a lot of at the moment. Xxx
I do bikini comps and was advised to go under due to the gym and my body fat levels changing if that’s any help xxx
Okay thanks Molly. Hope you start to feel better soon!
I’ve been recommended overs, if the heavy lifting thing really is 3 months For unders I might just consider sticking to the overs. Xx
Really Ele? Argh is such conflicting info I’ve been told for lifting weights to go overs as unders contract the muscle and eventually misshape them! I’m so stuck xx
Isn’t it so hard to use this forum haha I feel thick not being able to use it! Yeah my name is Paula Muir on Facebook 🙂 message me 🙂
im exactly the same i dont know what to go for i havent seen my surgeon yet but booked my surgery im hoping to achieve d-dd so was thinking 400cc but then dont know what next after that lol xx
What are you to begin with Abbie?
Your surgeon will decide whether you would be better with overs or unders.. and he will give you about 4 sizes to chose from 🙂 i started as a 34b. You’ll only get offered unders really if you’re an A or less although they sometimes offer them for bigger. Unders take longer to heal too.
I keep looking at different people with 375s or 400s and some look average some look massive! Just depends what you have to start with x
im a 32b-32c in some bras iv spoke to people they said if you have enough tissue to go with overs and ye same iv seen some stunning ones and then ones that actually look stuck on xx
Speak to your surgeon, who have you picked? I think they’ll recommend overs for you because that’s a reasonable size to start with. It’s so confusing picking a size. I don’t want them massive if they’re overs but I don’t want to go small and regret it. I was offered between 350 and 450 and I’m picking 375 or 400 maybe.
When are you seeing your surgeon? I’ve seen mine once and I’m going back to see him next week because I’m undecided on a few things xx

Hi Chloe
MYA have great reviews whichever clinic you attend. They are so friendly and organised and they help you through every step of your decision. I think you’ll be happy with them, my friend went to 5 different companies for consultations and said none of them were as good as mya. Xx
