    so I am 1 week post op and I was meant to see the nurse today but cant make it so had to cancel I might not be able to go for a check up for at least another week yet as I live far away from clinic and getting there is a struggle tbh. I was wondering if I could take my plaster and tape of myself ( I didn’t have strapping) or should I wait till I see the nurse I only say this because I had a peak under my plaster at the tape over my incisions and its really bloody if I keep it on another week it might go infected. and what should your incisions look like after a week am I meant to be wiping them with antibacterial wipes now. I kno I should probably ring up and ask but I thought I would ask you first. my right incisions hurts and my left doesn’t is it normal to sting? sorry for all the questions it all blags me and I panic over the littlest thing xxxx

    I wouldn’t take them off yourself , ring the mya nurse for advice. If you really can’t make it to the clinic I’d go to see the nurse at your gp surgery. Leave it to someone experienced in wound care. Hope your happy with your result 🙂 xx

    Thanks. I took it off to have a look as it’s painful but I put the tape back on again. Could u tell me if you think it looks normal I took a pic and put it on my profile. Xxx

    My mums a nurse when she gets in from work I’ll show her your incision pics how come you took them off Hun? Were they bleeding through? An ID say go to a normal gp if you can’t get to a may clinic too anyone will be able to redress an anti back if it’s needed but wouldn’t put anything on it yourself just in case xxxx

    I took it off because it was stinging and everytime I stand up I feel like I need to put presure on it so I had a look at it plus my tape is all bloody. I rang mya and they booked me in for Monday and I emailed the pics to the nurse. But if you can get ur mum to look that would b great thanks hun xcx

    Had my mum take a look Hun she said it’s looks normal for a fresh incision but it’s hard to see from the photo an would need to see it in person to know so she said go in Monday so they can have a proper look for you but if you get any fevers or anything like that book emergency appointment with your gp xxxx
