I had unders and it was far more painful/restricting than I was expecting to be honest.
It gets easier each day though and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I have two little ones (4 & 2) and I was advised told not to pick them up for 6 weeks. I thought that this was just going to be an exaggerated timescale, but actually, I don’t know if I physically will be able to do it before that! I’m nearly 2 weeks post op and my arm mobility and strength is very limited.
I can stop wearing the breast band at 4 weeks and maybe by then it will be better and I probably would be able to pick my youngest up by then if I really had to. But if you’re having unders, I would give yourself plenty of time to heal properly!
