Hiya X
Has anyone used sainsburys bank to get a loan for the boobs before? I really can’t see myself getting accepted for MYA finance so I thought I would shop around first. Any companies you recommend? Thank you xx
Hey don’t know if this is much help to you at all. But I don’t think I will get accepted for finance even though I have a couple of direct debits in my name e.g. phone bill and I also pay my car on finance but for some reason when I did my credit score it wasn’t the best.
Basically, Ive got a credit card with barclays that has 20 months of no interest on it (bearing in mind you can get even better deals than the 20 months) and what I plan to do is pay the £25o0 deposit with this card and then pay £250 a month through their finance for ten months as I should get accepted for this one. The only way this working for me is my surgery isn’t going to be till march and by then I will have paid all or a good amount of the £2500 off my card and will just have ten monthly payments to make.
Just an idea to look into credit cards with no interest as you could pay some of the balance using this and then finance a small amount of money- which you are more likely to be accepted on if it isn’t a large amount of money you are lending xx
@jessy6067 hiya! I dont think credit card is an option for me tbh! the £250 a month is a bit too expensiv! I want to see if i will get accepted for MYA finance but im scared incase i get declined and then it ruins my credit rating? Have you done it yet? Im looking to get my op early feb or late march!xx
I went with Sainsburys bank Hun – such a good interest rate xx
I’m paying £180 a month for 24 months x
oh wow really @leannekelsall how much did you borrow? Im thinking i want to borrow around £3500 and pay it off over 2 years too!xx
I got accepted for the finance by MYA and at the time I didn’t have any bills coming out or anything x
I borrowed £3,900 🙂 id deffo say do that over MYA finance as their interest rate is so high compared to sainsburys and you’ll end up paying back more x
hiya @arb05 i just think the mya interest rate is too high and im not even sure if i want to risk applying for it and getting declined!
@leannekelsall did you get accepted straight away? im thinking i might borrow a bit more to take some stress off of saving for it and being able to buy all the bras and pillows etc that i need!! how long did it take for your money to hit your account xx
Ahhh, I did the one that was free interest? X
Tesco loans are good if you’re a club card customer. 3.4% Apr is the rate if you borrow over 4000 x
Hi Hun,
I tried getting finance with mya and was declined even tho I have a good credit rating but I have finance on my car!
My boyfriend also got declined with mya and he also has a good credit rating and earns over £50,000 a year so don’t no why he got declined lol so I went with a loan from a bank and tbh I’m glad I got declined because instead of paying over a £1000 back in interest in now only paying £400 interest back!!
Hiya I’m going through the same thing at the moment it’s so annoying. Been paying house bills for 2 years never missed a payment and also been paying my mobile phone bill for 4 years and never missed a payment on that either however my PC said its unlikely I’ll get accepted. But worth a try, going to do the application when my boyfriend is home to help me!
I’m also paying half the cost upfront and the rest back over 10 months if it comes to it I’ll also just have to consider a bank loan! It’s so frustrating because I can’t book the procedure till I pay the deposit (2500) but I won’t have all of it till December ? wish I could just pay the £500 and secure the date I really want it in feb! X
Id deffo borrow a bit more – I wished i had as everything else is expensive. Yeah you get an online decision then they send you the paperwork in the post then you send it back and the loan is in your bank within about 2 days. So a week maybe all in all? Xx
Do any of you girls know if with the loans you can pay more back a month so you can pay the loan off quicker? x
@xcharlottex You could always put that amount on a 0% interest credit card swell I suppose and with doing that you can pay as much or as a little you wanted monthly. Meaning if you had more money one month you can pay more off.
I did my credit rating score with noodle and they recommend cards you will get accepted for with 0% interest rates. Worth looking into, to see more options xx
Hiya I didn’t think I’d be accepted for finance as I thought their criteria would be quite hard, so I applied for a loan and got declined and was so upset then thought may aswell try the finance and got accepted, you can pay the finance off earlier without a charge so the interest isn’t a major factor if you have plans to pay it off early x
Hey hun,
I got a loan through Sainsbury’s 🙂 much lower APR than more other places. My PC said outright to look elsewhere because MYA’s interest was so high. I borrowed £5000 and am paying back £148 a month over 3 years, so will be paying an exta £330ish in interest xx
@kirsty2512 Do you think sainsburys is hard to get a loan from? x
@jessy6067 I don’t think so.. I didn’t expect to be accepted as I don’t have an amazing salary and already had a credit card and various outgoings (phone bill, gym etc) but they accepted me without any questions xx
Thank you all for all your help! I think I’m Deffo gonna go with the sainsburys bank loan option & not even try MYA finance as the interest rate is so so high I don’t even want to apply! I’m going to apply for sainsburys once I Get paid this month! If anyone else applies let me know what they say please! Good luck everyone xx
@xcharlottex Let me know how you get on with sainsburys as I might be applying to them also soon! Thanks for making me aware of them xx
