    Hello,

Im fairly new to the forum and have tried to do as much research on overs/unders as possible. I think overall i would prefer unders as they seem to have no/few negatives but i have a feeling i will be offered overs. When there is a choice it seems harder haha :(! I was just wondering if anyone could tell me their experience with overs/unders. My main worry about overs is that you can actually feel the edges of the implant, has anyone had this?

Sorry about the rambling and thanks in advance for anyone who replies! 🙂 xx

Hi Shannon, I think feeling the edges with overs only really happens if you choose one that is too big/wide for your breast width diameter (which your surgeon is unlikely to do) or if you don’t have much tissue to cover the implant. With you being a C already I would guess that more than likely you do have enough. If you have a fair bit of tissue and go for unders sometimes your breast tissue can hang lower/fall off the implant as the implant is held up higher by the muscle giving a ‘double bubble’ effect which isn’t nice.

Honestly there are pros and cons with both but I would just trust your surgeon to choose the best option for you. They will know what will work best I’m sure 🙂

    Good luck with everything!

Ahh so that’s how “double bubble” is caused. I guess there is downsides when it comes both so I’ll just listen to my surgeons suggestions. And I’m seeing a couple so hopefully this will put my mind at ease if they all give me the same suggestion. Thanks for the reply! Actually made me think a lot more positively it 🙂 xx

Glad I helped! I think seeing a few surgeons is definitely the best approach. I spoke to a few companies on the phone and then saw two surgeons in person and I knew as soon as I met the surgeon I went with that he was the one for me. You sound like you’re taking your time with it so I’m sure you’ll be happy with your result 🙂

    xx
