hi girls!!
i had my BA on the 6th oct 2009!! i was supposed to be there at 9.30 so we left at 7.30am but we got lost so my advice…… leave LOTS of time cos my dr (Chantarasak) wasnt too impressed with me. i was suposed to be he first one to go in but as i was half hour late i didnt go down till 2pm which i was actually happy about as i got to settle in and take things in my own time. i think i would of paniced if i was down in theatre so quick.
they measure your legs so shave girls as i forgot lol. this is for your nice socks you have to wear to prevent DVT (deep vein thrombosis) and then you get your lovely sexy knickers to put on. the nurses were lovely and checked my blood regularly.
the nurse came to collect me at 2 and left me with the anethatist who was nice and chatty and i feel bad but i couldnt talk to him whilst he was putting the drip in so he stopped trying bless him. they tapped my arms straight out and then i fell asleep.
when i woke up i felt no pain and kept putting my arms up about three times as i was so out of it i didnt no what i was doin so dont do that girls! i really didnt want to see them but i looked any way and thank god they were bandaged up. i kep touching them thinking omg are they wonky? is this swelling or silicone? i ate some toast straight away and felt completely fine, no pain, no sickness just tired. i was suprised how much it didnt hurt. the only thing i struggled with was sitting up as you got to try and use your stomach and not your arms.
my bf left at 9.30 after stocking me up with food and drink and went to stay in a hotel. i slept fine and the nurses were there 24/7. breakie came at 7.30 and after that i called the nurse and she helped me take off my bandages and put on my bra.
advice!….. buy a bra a size bigger around the back as i have swelling around my ribs and i can feel the fluid some times which is a bit disturbing. if you do this you can buy the cup the same cup size that you think u will be as the back will compensate that trust me. so if you will be a 32dd after buy a 34dd because when you go up around the back you go down in the cup so in theory a 34dd is the equivelent to a 32E so this will give room for swelling.
i bought mine from house of fraser and its a shock absober one its three way and has got so many gadgets on it its wiked!!!
the worst part was driving home it felt so bumpy. especially when my bf wanted to stop off at mcd drive through and rolled down a bump on the way round and then decided to slam on the brakes….. good move babe!
other then that they feel ok just hard. they feel as though iv got pins and needles but wih out the pins and needles u know?? like when you sleep on your leg funny. lol. i still havent seen them as im worried. i feel like if i take my bra off theyll fall out lol.
