Ladies…I’m a naughty sun bed user. Anyone else continued to use them after surgery and if so how long did u leave it? I’m told if I cover up the area I will be OK.
Serious answers from those with experience please no lectures.
    Thanks in advance

I used it 8 days post op and I think it was all in my head overthinking it. Anyway didn’t last the session got off scared to death swelling increased threw lying on my back, but like i say id over thought it. Anyway I used them after in sports bra I was fine. Closing and lifting bed door was bit of struggle xx

I was wondering that so I was thinking going on in the sports bra but on the stand up ones . The shop said I would be OK I just don’t want to risk the scars not healing as well.
I’m so clueless but can’t bare the thought of loosing my tan over weeks lol

I’ve previously worked in a sunbed shop and I’ve seen quite a few ladies post boob job come in for a bed! Obviously I am no professional, however I’d recommend using a Sun Angel bed after your surgery. If you google ‘The Tanning Shop’ and find your local store as the majority of the tanning shop chains have a Sun Angel bed in store. Not sure if you have any experience with the Sun Angel bed but it’s £17.50 per session for a set 20 minute tan. You scan the palest and darkest areas of your skin and it calibrates a skin-type-specific tanning session set over the 20 minutes – it’s almost impossible to burn using this bed due to the controlled environment. A lot of red haired/fair skinned/sensitive skinned ladies (and gents) use it for this reason. I’d further recommend this bed post surgery as you can control the climate so you literally do not over heat or sweat on this bed therefore you won’t affect your incisions and shouldn’t cause any swelling. It’s well worth hunting down a tanning shop if, like me, you will NEED a bed no later than 2 weeks after surgery..! It’s the bed I plan to use once I’ve had my boobs done. Sorry for the lengthy reply and hope it helps! Again, please don’t take what I’ve said as law but it’s my personal (educated, not medically but sun bed wise) opinion!

I know a few people who have had their boobs done and gone on sunbeds pretty much straight away, iv been told that as long as you cover your scars you should be fine but I’m still gunna leave it 2/3 week post op xx
