I had my op last Monday (18th jan) . Seen the surgeon twice since then for check ups and everything is healing well and looking good! My question is, I was told to wait around 10/12 weeks for exercising…. I just wondered if this was true with anyone else or have you been given other advice? I only do exercise dvds at home 3/4 times a week, so it’s not weight lifting at the gym or running etc. Any advice is welcome! Xx

Hi Babe, I just had my 6 week check up and was told that I can do light exercises but nothing heavy impact and also to be sure to have a maximum support sports bra so your breats don’t move around at all. I think maybe wait till your 6 week post op check up, see what they say and also see how you feel then as everyone heals differently. xxx

    Be careful!

My client started exercising at 4weeks and told me it was ok (I knew nothing about recovery then). Then the following week she was in and out of hospital because of a really bad infection. They gave her antibiotics. Then she had to get stitched up again because she started to get a hole.

Im a trainer and I am training for a competition so its going to be extremely hard not to do anything but i personally think its really not worth the risk.

I say wait at least 5 weeks. But if they have given you a longer time thats because they feel you’re slower at healing.

    Just be careful xx

I have gone back to the gym lifting weights and paced walking on incline on treadmill. Going light on most things compared to what I would do but I seem fine xx
