Do they test you to see if you’ve smoked when you go in for BA or has anybody quit less than 2 weeks before?? X
They didn’t test me? just asked if i smoked and i said no xx
Who was your surgeon?? I’ve just been told some do. Panicking now lol. Did you actually quit! Xx
oh sorry just read you said when you go in for your BA.. I haven’t been in yet will be on saturday. the nurse did ask if i smoked at that consultation and that was it. i have heard of some stories about smoking though where they test you on the day yeah.. some girls have been turned away apparently as well? xx
They didn’t test me, but asked me very seriously haha! They said it really does slow down the process of healing though xx
I would have quit 12 days not 14:/ xx
I was turned away and had to wait 2weeks I wouldn’t risk it x
I didn’t have my op with mya but was advised to cut down 2 weeks before and completely stop for 2 days before my op !! No tests were done on the day and it wasn’t even mentioned x
Did you tell them you hadn’t quit for 2 weeks?? Xx
Did you telll them you hadn’t quit for the two weeks Clare? Xx
I saw my surgeon a month before he said you need to quit in two weeks but I didn’t so was my own fault lol but they must have checked when they check to see your not pregnant they did say they randomly do it so not everyone gets tested was gutted when I got sent home and quit straight away x
Hi Tamara I cut down for 2 weeks but didn’t completely stop , I actually had a couple of puffs on the morning of my op , naughty I know but nobody actually asked me if I’d stopped – they just advised me ?
Im with MYA they say you HAVE to quit. X.
I’ve never heard of a urine nicotine test! Lol. Did you quit atall or smoke still on the day?? X I will be devasted ir they send me home x
clarelh just out of curiosity did they test you the 2nd time you went back?x
They said to me to cut 2 weeks before however I decided to cut down 3 weeks my op is on Sunday, I see it as your paying so much money might as well do it the right way, only from experience it actually slows down the process ALOT. I had a rhinoplasty about a year and abit ago from another company and they had advised me to stop I wouldn’t say I stopped I cut down however I did smoke here and there and the healing process was a nightmare. If you can try then do it you e paid to much to ruin it, anything can happen. X
