Hi ladies, bit of a personal one but my period has come late so I’m going to on next Monday when I’m having my op, will this matter? Xx

I don’t think it’s a big deal but my nurse said she would rather people not be on it to me xx

@Beth Make sure you tell your nurse. I spoke with mine about this before my op and she said that it wouldn’t be a problem but they’d need to know and rather than using tampons you’d need to wear sanitary towels to prevent toxic shock syndrome xx

I asked my nurse and she said it would be fine just wear a sanitary towel they work on your chest not down there. They can’t really tell you to stop taking your pill then refuse to operate because youre on xx

Bad luck !! I had mine at the same time as my ba – it doesn’t matter but it is a bit awkward after as your arms are a bit stiff when trying to do anything . I still used tampons on the day I think x

I was a bit worried that I was going to be on by the time I had my op , but thank God it came a week before my op…
