Hi girls, I’m on Cerazette which is the progesterone only pill. I wasn’t told whether to stop taking it or not but I’ve seen loads of girls saying they had to stop taking their pill befor their op. Is that because it’s the combined pill like Microgynon etc? My op is March 8th, should I just stop taking it anyway? AAAHHH!!

I think your fine with contraceptives I have the contraceptive implant in my arm and they said it was fine x

Im on the mini pill and was told to stop taking it for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after xx

I’m on the mini pill and I got told to stop taking it a month before? Ring your clinic and speak to the nurse xx

My op is 2 weeks today, I think I’m gonna just stop taking it now to be safe! Omg, TWO WEEKS TODAY! Doesnt seem real! Xx

I’m On cerazette and I explained to the nurse it has no estrogen in but she told me I still had to stop 2 weeks before and after . Good luck 🙂 xxxx

The reason you have to stop taking it is to avoid blood clots such as DVT xx
