I was given Sena tablets and instructed to take 2 a night, which I did for 5 nights (last dose on 28/02/16).

A couple of days after I stopped taking the sena tablets I also stopped taking my painkillers (I was prescribed tylex). It has now been a week since I stopped taking the sena tablets andI still have an upset stomach, this kicked in a day or so after I stopped taking the painkillers. I have been up since 6am today with horrid gut pains and stuck on the toilet again!

I start work tomorrow and wondered if there is anything I can do to help stop this and whether anyone has experienced anything similar or if I should be worried?

    Thanks xx

Hey chic i have ulcerative colitis (bowel disorder) an know exactly how you feel with a constant upset stomach, just for now stick to plain foods like toast, rice an crackers, tuna or low fat protein, no caffeine or dairy as it’ll irritate your stomach, fructose the sugar found in fruit could also irritate your stomach xxx

@Samanthabella thanks, I’ll try that. I can’t imagine what it must be like for you to have to deal with that condition on a daily basis 🙁 xx

@clarestar I’m wishing I had never taken them now! Hopefully my gut gets back to normal soon x

I have an upset stomach and haven’t taken painkillers or sena tablets. I wake up with cramps.
I put it down to the trauma of surgery lack of movement. I’m 5 days post op now and haven’t been able to move much. My body is used to going to the gym most days and lots of walking.

I’m sure it will get better soon
