Can’t sleep I’m one week post op n I can lie flat fine but all I keep thinking is maybe there a reason for sleeping sitting up like it keeps implants in place or something ?? How long is it ur spost to sleep at a 45 degree angle it’s driving me crazy 🙁 xx

My nurse told me it was to help the swelling and bruising to go down. As by laying won’t him it go down or something. X

Hey Sophie, I asked my nurse this at post op as sleeping upright was absolutely killing me off!! She said they recommend 2 weeks if you can manage it, and like Aneilia said its for swelling and also to help with pain and getting up etc she told me…. Ive been laying flat since then ? loads better!! Xx

I called mya and spoke to a PC who had hers done with mya as well. She told me it’s because of swelling and so the implant doesn’t move?! That really worried me ! I ended up sleeping up for 4 weeks !xx

Oops! I think I lasted about 3 or 4 days propped up and then just laid flat! I don’t think it’s done me any harm though and I’m just over 3 weeks po xx

My surgeon told me it was because if you sleep on your side or back then the implants move into a different place than where they’re supposed to be and might end up staying that way or something? xx

I think its for everything to settle as they can keep changing. if your not upright i think the implant would take longer to drop and settle xx
