    Hi girls,
    I had my 1 week check up on Tuesday and everything was great, my nurse told me I need to keep the plasters on for another week and then I can take them off and shower.
    She told me she doesn’t want to see me for another 6 weeks, however I’ve seen most girls talk about a week 2 check up to make sure everything is fine.
    I am wondering if it’s normal not to see the nurse for so long after? Shouldn’t I have a week 2 check up?
    Any help girls would be really appreciated, a little confused at the moment x

    Hi @amber at my one week check they said the same to keep the plasters on and they’ll check them again a week later to see if I’m ok to shower, I went again at 2 weeks and she said still not quite fully healed so got another appointment in a few days! I would imagine you’d go back so they can check your wounds first and give you the go ahead to shower! X

    @murphymoo my nurse told me I can take the plasters off and she doesn’t need to see me at week 2 :/ she now wants to see me in another 6 weeks. I’m going to ring mya and ask to see a nurse at week 2 as I don’t feel comfortable taking the plasters off myself x

    Yea I would! I wouldn’t 100% be able to tell if there completely closed or whatever they need to be hah best to be sure, which clinic are you at? Il be nearly 4 weeks before my next appointment and still no shower for me ??

    @murphymoo i know that’s what I was thinking! I’ll ring up again tomorrow and tell them I want an appointment for me two week check. I’m in the Manchester clinic, wbu? Omg really?! How have you managed? I can’t cope right now! I feel minging. I really feel for you! Xx

    Yeh go as many times as you need too! Youv paid enough, I’m at Manchester too, think the nurses name I see is Charlotte, she’s lovely x

    @murphymoo yeah exactly! I know a girl who has charlotte and she said the same thing. My nurse is Lorraine and i was shocked when she said I’m okay to take the plasters off ?x

    I had Lorraine after 5 days to take my strapping off, then I’ve had Charlotte since such a difference maybe could request her! I don’t see why not! X
