    Hey girls, so my surgery is booked for October.. I’m having a ba and also rhinoplasty in the same surgery and I’ve been keeping an eye on everyone’s recovery on here and I am seriously starting to worry that I haven’t booked enough time off work. I have told work I will need a week and a half off 2 weeks max, is this realistic? Could do with some advise really if I should try and book more time off? Thanks in advance xx

    Hi Chloe,

    I would imagine that everyone will have slightly different requirements in that some seem to need longer to recover than others. Have you booked your time as holiday? You are entitled to sick leave although for elective surgery you might not be paid for you period of absence.

    I think it would be no harm at all to book two weeks off. It is expensive surgery and you want to give yourself a fair chance to get back to pre-op form.
