I have my one week post op appointment tomorrow and I’m just wondering how long it usually takes and what happens?

I’m just wondering when you can sleep led down normally as I’m exhausted now and I feel like it’s not helping my recovery. & im back to work on Friday 🙁 Xx

Hi Hannah. They change your dressings and give a wee clean of your incisions, take your temp, blood pressure and have a wee feel of your boobs to make sure everything settling ok. And its normally 1 week after op you can lay flat. Oh and of course pics are taking to mark your progress it takes about 30 mins if that …. but looking at time of post you probably had your appointment lol xx

I know what you mean about about them settling i cant wait either and im 3 weeks PO now and every day i can feel a slight change.
Sorry i thought the sleeping thing was about the 45 degree angle not on back lol. Im finding it hard to sleep too, im a side sleeper and its killing my back having to sleep on it all night, i end up getting up really early because of it. xxx

I’m the same as you Hun, always sleep on my side, I don’t find it comfy on my back at all, never mind half up! It absolutely kills my tail bone.. She’s said 6 weeks they advise to sit at the angle!! I thought she was just going to say a week or two haha.. But it’s just advice I guess!
I slept through for the first time last night though woke up a different person! Xxxxxx
