    Hi Ladies,

    I know everyone’s body is different but I’m wondering how long it took for people to go back to work? I work in an office but I do have to drive an hour each way. Do you think taking two weeks off would be OK? Also, did people take holiday or does the surgeon sign you off? I work in HR so I should probably know this but I’m not sure my employer would be happy if I was ‘signed off’ for a cosmetic procedure!

    Thanks,
    Em xx

    @em88 hi Emma!
    I work in an office as well and I had booked a week’s holiday off. I went back this Monday Ju st gone and I feel fine to be honest, I think you maybe should take longer off for driving though? Xx

    Thanks Brooke! How are you liking your new boobs?! Yeah I think I’ll take 2 weeks off and if I still don’t feel comfortable I can always swap cars with my dad as he drives an automatic so at least so I don’t have to worry about charging gear! Xx

    @em88 no worries! I absolutely love them! When’s your appointment and who are you having? I have a high pain threshold but it does take it out of you, after the first 4 days you start to feel a bit more human though, just make sure you rest after and don’t rush anything! Yeah I reckon just ask your nurse about driving she will have the best advice for you xx

    +1

    I work in an office too. I had my op on the 9th and went back on the 19th, so 10 days. I am still having the odd bit of discomfort but ten days was perfect for me to go back to work any longer i would of felt like i was wasting my annual leave. I just strongly advise to rest rest rest for that time that you can and have someone there to help you, i really underestimated the pain but luckily still live at home so they were there to help.

    As for driving though I only work 5 minutes from my house and i struggled even doing that. I would say now im just over 2 weeks post op I could drive for a bit longer and have more strength and stuff! you dont want to push yourself so the automatic would be a lot better if you could do that! good luck!!xxxx
