    Hey girls.
I have my pre-op on saturday and my op on the 4th november. I usually smoke around 15 a day and have got down to 4 but really struggling to give it up! E-cigs dont agree with me at all. Did anyone else still smoke when they had their op? Any tips of easiest way to give them up!
    Thanks in advance xx

    Hi Hun
I smoke about 8-9 a day. I didn’t stop, I just couldn’t do it. It was harder with the stress of having the op as well. I had my op on the 6th of September and I smoked up to the day before my op and then didn’t have any before my op on the day then had 2 later on that night. I’ve smoked every day since my op and my healing has been absolutely fine. They just tell you to stop as a precaution because in some people it can slow the process down. I heard stories that people had been turned away on the day if they hadn’t stopped smoking but they didn’t even ask if I smoked on the day. I got myself worked up for no reason what so ever. At the end of the day the risk is up to you Hun. I understand how you feel though I was exactly the same xxxx

Thanks so much girls. I think getting down to 4 a day is good but its just stopping completely. I dont want to be turned away! Ive signed my consent form saying i smoke so they cant say i kept it secret. You have both put my mind at ease massively! Xx
