    Hi everybody
I’ve read that it’s a struggle to cope with not having shower/bath so I was thinking has anybody had a shallow bath then had their hair washed at the hairdressers?
Rather than having somebody wash it for me with the shower head at ours I was thinking it would be easier than struggling at home

Hi I was told that shallow baths are ok then just to wash hair over the bath. That’s what I did last time too and I found I was ok. I’d imagine going to the hair dressers would be ok too a d make it less of a faff than washing it over the bath x

    Thanks for the reply Kathryn
Was it not painful or awkward doing it over bath?

To be honest I can’t remember fully first time round as it was nearly ten years ago. All I remember was I was shattered after having a bath and went back to bed but it was ok. Weirdly this time I’ve been doing all sorts and that was about an hour after waking up from the op. Probably not advised but its hardly the same as having them put in the first time round. When did you have yours done? X

My plan was to have shallow baths and wash my hair over the bath but for the first week i couldnt5bring myself to it so i used dry shampoo once. The first time i washed it i still couldn’t get my head over the bath so i just leant bk in the bath and had it washed like that. Seemed such a fuss but was so much easier for me lol. I even struggled getting out of the bath on more than one occasion so had to be lifted lol!!

Thanks for the replys girls :))
I’m going in on the 4th December Kathryn Eeeek! Lol

My shower is seperate from the bath which I think would be difficult to lean backwards over and the bath itself has like a tiled surround around it so would be difficult to get to the taps.
Aww Rachel lol I hope I don’t struggle in our bath lol
I think il try the hairdressers for a wash n come back n share my experience on here

I had my first bath and washed my hair this morning and found it ok. It’s a lot easier though second time round as recovery is quicker. I had my bath then got half dressed then put a towel round my shoulders to stop the sports bra getting soaked. I then got my husband to wash my hair, not ideal as it took ages but I feel better now as I don’t feel gross with yack hair. Eek not long now!! Are you having unders or overs? I think that makes a difference, I have had unders both times so was in a lot of pain first time and still in pain this time but it’s not bad Xx

Ah don’t feel stupid! I was the same first time round, didn’t know cc size or what profile. All I remembered was that I asked to be a d / dd and he said he would do that and it would be under the muscle lol. This time I asked way more!
I hate not being able to pick my baby’s up, it’s really getting to me and affecting them too as my youngest has been so clingy with everyone else and it must be because I can’t hold him 🙁 x

    Thanks Kathryn
I’ve been ill since Saturday and my little girl has had to get used to not being picked up by me and she’s done really well these last few days so I’m hoping she won’t get too upset when I come home after surgery. Xx
