    @holliebaker oh no that’s rubbish! Such bad luck. Hopefully it will only be a month delay….what happens now? Do you have to have treatment or something? Do you feel ill? I’m dresjf something like this will happen to me! x

    @allybongo – I know!! So upset, yes hope i only have to wait the minimal time possible !
    Yes have to go on treatment now for 5 days , then have a swab once a week for 3 weeks and all of them have to come back negative otherwise back to square one!!
    No no don’t feel ill at all, I’m just a carrier of it, so healthy people just carry it, but vulnerable people like the elderly, and pregnant women are the people it affects
    But in terms of the surgery, it would get into the incisions and prevent them from healing, and create a nasty infection!!
    Ahhh I hopeeee you don’t get it!! D:

    @holliebaker yeah me too – although I had all my tests weeks ago and so I guess I would have heard by now? My PC says everything has been signed off by the surgeon and nurses so fingers crossed I am good to go……but it is rubbish for you. So do you have to wait now to get another date set? Do you get charged for the date change (I did when I had to postpone)…is the MRSA medication expensive? Im really sorry for you x

    Yes I only had mine Tuesday and herd back yesterday so you’re all clear 🙂 thank goodness
    Aw I’m very glad it’s all going ahead for you 🙂
    Yes I think I’ll have to wait until I have had the treatment and maybe till the first swab is negative to book another date
    I don’t know, I think it may be free but not sure 🙁

    I feel really down :/

    Oh no that is so gutting for you! I work in a nursery with children so I am most likely to have it too! I only have my initial consultation on Tuesday but is there anything I can do to prevent this happening?

    @laura1984 – it took 5 days including the day i had it done, so had it tuesday and heard back Saturday, you most likely havent got it

    @amyjlechem
    – You most likely won’t have it as it’s picked up in the hospital, and the elderly can bring it with them when they come out of hosp. So you should be ok 🙂
    No you can’t prevent it, it just gets breathed in via your nose and stays in there

    Oh no @holliebaker don’t feel down (although I totally understand!) Best things come to those who wait! Least it’s only going to be a few weeks….I was meant to have mine done late July! Then had to have a cast on for 6 weeks and as I’m a teacher I only have certain holidays where i can have enough time to recover. A month will go very quickly x

    @allybongo – thankyou so much for that comment, you’ve really made me feel better as it’s only a month I have to wait, whereas you’ve had to wait half a year!! 🙁 so thanks <3

    @katex
    , it could be quite likely that you’ll test positive for it, don’t want to worry you!! But justvbe prepared, cause once I saw that @donnaxx had tested positive for it, I was almost certain that i would get that dreaded call , cause she is a carer
    But fingers crossed for you!!

    Ye I’m kind of accepting it now will just be a huge set back for me as I won’t beable to have it done until Easter when I get time off again :(. Ye we will have to see ! Thank you !! Consequences for doing a job helping people eh ? Who would have thought hahah . How many days did it take until your test results were back just so I can expect it?xxx

    Yeah it’s horrible thinking about how long you have to wait until you might be able do it again 🙁
    Exactly! Last thing you’d expect after helping people haha, it’s just so upsetting
    I got mine back 5 days later, so had it done on the Tuesday and heard on the Saturday
    so If yours is on Saturday I would expect to hear back by Friday maybe, if not you should be all clear

    Plan out just fine in the end Xx and I’m actually with transform and not mya maybe slightly different I’m not too sure but I rang them today and they said 3 days for my results to come back so I’m hoping I’ll find out asap not as it makes much of a difference because I still won’t beable to have my op ! But fingers crossed x

    Yes I’m feeling a bit better now, I’m picking up my treatment today, it’s taken three days for the doctors so sort something out for me, it’s been a nightmare, so that stressed me out more!
    Yes I’m not with mya either, I’m with Harley medical group
    Ah that’s good then! I hope you get good news 🙂

    Im really worried about this. I work in maternity in a hospital. Difference being our clients dont normaly stay in long or are unwell. but its still a hospital setting. I am due my pre-op on 15th dec. and my op isnt until Jan 20th. So i am hoping if i come back positive then i have enough time in between to get 3 clear results because this is on my annual leave so i wont be able to move it 🙁

    Why don’t you ring to see if you can move your pre op a little closer but to be honest I think you’ll have plenty of time to get rid of it beforehand I wouldn’t worry !!xx

    Courtny, that should be long enough anyway to get rid of it if you do have it, it only takes 2weeks from the beginning of treatment to doing the last swab so you’ll have plenty of time
    But let’s hope you are clear!!
